Gosh I love a 3 minute video straight into the action rather than a 10 minute video with 3 minutes of actual content - thank you, brilliant video

Welcome to Brandon’s videos. No 17 minute explanations of 1 move here lol

I've watched so many ankle lock videos that talk about different grips and upper body position. Never once seen a video mention the hips behind the knee. Game changer.

Yeah I’m with you. Not sure how no mentions it

Such a powerful transition from ankle to heel hook.... Thank you!

Even just demonstrating the heel hook finish solo makes me cringe just thinking of some one going for it all out with bad intentions. Love this transition too by the way. People are way more relaxed when they think you are attacking a straight ankle, in my experience, then they get a nice little suprise🤙

Thanks Breck! I appreciate you watching and taking a second to comment!

Nice video! Don't you find that people attack your top leg (inside leg of ashi) when you lean over for the straight ankle? I thought the danger was that by turning down your top leg becomes light and your opponent can pummel their leg inside and attack you.

That definitely happens. I’ll get that foot out and transfer to DOA or a reap, depending on how he reacts

But either way I’ve got a bite on the heel and I can start moving to a better spot to break him

No problem. This is really just meant to illustrate the position of the hip. You’ll need that full leg locking system to make the next play
