i'm using tia portal after years for an upgrade project at work, i was using TIA v11, now i have v15.1, i can feel the Pc run smoothly than before (the PC is the same), at least TIA doesn't crash often now :D anyway... wonderful videos, i'm following you from a while and i like this channel, Greetings from an Italian guy living in China...

CTUD, I actually found a use for this instruction. I'm using the instruction to simulate the level of a tank 0-100 gallons, the instruction fills the tank and emptiest the tank. I use that on a HMI and you can see how the BAR-graph goes up/down. I'm sure they may be different way to simulate this but I use the CTUD and it work fine. thank you!

CTUD counts by steps, depending on the way you fill/empty the tank, the value may vary from the counter's count unless you also implement comparison/value check, but then it would make counter use obsolete..

Hi, friend. I'm always enjoying the good video. I'm a novice programmer using the TiaPortal 16 version. Let me ask a question to my friend. I'm trying to calculate the distance value of the encoder type instead of the encoder The pulley has 20 magnets and the diameter of the encoder pulley is 170 mm There is a 185mm driver pulley on the motor side If the encoder pulley rotates once, it is 533.8mm. Use the counter Can't I use counter updown to accurately calculate the travel distance like an encoder?? If there is a good way, please let me know how!!

DI: 1. Program start DO: 1. Red light 2. Yellow light 3. Green light When program starts, Red light should be ON. After 10 seconds, yellow light should also be ON along with red light. After further 5 seconds, both (red and yellow) light should turn OFF and green light should turn ON. After further 10 seconds, green light should turn OFF and only yellow light should turn ON. After further 5 seconds, yellow light should turn OFF and only red light should turn ON. could you solve this problem with only 2 timers and 1 counter
