Here is why, in my opinion.... They are flooding the market with too many models/colors. That are also dropping too often. The quantity is fine, but if you have 2 or 3 hitters coming in one pay period you can't buy them all, especially with inflation hitting. Lastly, they are over pricing these shoes. $225 for burgundy 5s....$230 for 11s...$250 for womens Gore Tex 6s....seriously! To sum it up....the 11s shock dropped, the craft olive 4s and A Maneire 5s, 2 of them, and the Fear 3s all dropped in one week....

Jordan’s ain’t selling anymore because: 1. Overall economy conditions. Not a lot of people have the disposable income to just spend on shoes every week in and out. 2. Nike/JB are just making more quantity of the shoes, general releases mostly, but also at the price of quality unfortunately. Also the increased price of retail has turned a lot of people off, like the Gratitude 11s for $230. HELL NO. 3. There’s more to life than overpriced shoes, to be honest, and you kids will realize that fast as you grow older 😂

Jordans not selling out for a number of reasons. You talked about most of em.. shipping issuses, market flooded and lack of extra money are the main 3 imo. Of course hype shoes still going to sell out like always. I hate waitin too, the pairs i bought resell this year are way cheaper now, which sucks.

Only other time I recall Jordans sitting so much was when Kanye first moved to Adidas and Adidas was the new hype and Jordan was kinda sitting in second place. But that’s why I never stop wearing Jordans; they never go out of style or are never a trend, they just fluctuate in popularity. Things like Crocs will be dead in a few years because they’re trendy.

I don’t mind resellers that sell stuff at just over retail if I can’t get in my country or size 12 is often not stocked in Aus either. Just frustrating when it’s gross overcharging like triple retail or more particularly when smaller sizes sometimes literally cost half of what a 12 goes for (hyped SBs looking at you)

Yeah I miss the old days as a consumer where I’d go cop at the store . After paying way to much for Lost and Founds I can’t front 2023 was great, most importantly because I got the reimagined 3s retail and those are the most sentimental Jordan to me . Also I got the Pine Green 4s early at my boys shop . This year it’s the reimagined 4s I hope to get !

Then after that the resellers that we’re still able bought up a bunch of pairs of shoes that didn’t do good, like when the 1s started falling off, n couldn’t get rid of em n ended up having to dump em for less than they paid

You made great points. Add to the list: Over saturation. Every shoe has every colorway on it, and Nike cranks out new pairs every week. This leads to very few being hyped up, it just move on to the nest week/next shoe. Poor quality control. Enough said there. Nike increasing pricing. Nike tweaking stuff so much that it is not what we want. Resellers. It's always been there, buuuut, it didn't leave the sneaker community better when it left. At one point, more people collected shoes because they loved the shoes. Somehow, this changed, and the sneaker community was more about flipping for profit. Simpley put- it became love of the profit, and not love of the product. All of this lead to.... Fatigue. Just my .02 cents

1 ) People don’t have that covid money pouring in. If anything, a lot more people are in dept. whether it’s from house payments, car payments, school payments, etc. 2 ) inflation on food, especially for Canadians, the gas prices are insane, different things that are way more important to spend money on..that is a must. 3 ) Jordan brand is flooding the market with more pairs than usual on releases. Honestly this ain't nothing new to me this time of year. I always seem to catch all the holiday 11s and most Jordans releasing around the same time for retail at my local stores , and I'm a Size 12 in NY. It's always like this during this time of year. Once taxes roll around, shoes will start selling out again. As far as the same color ways for different silhouettes, that's nothing new at all.

Sneakers aren’t selling simply because the sneaker market is over saturated… Too many releases. Sometimes 2 Jordan releases in the same week!!! The consumer now has many options. The average consumer is not going to spend $400 a week on shoes… We now have the option to pick and choose what we buy cause there are so many options.

It is easy, shoes are sitting because they are very expensive! It is sad to say, but NIKE, please stop with the price hike. One good thing about this is that people get to choose what ever shoe they want to buy. I do not like to compete for shoes, but we have all been forced to compete. Do I like waiting for that one shoe that I see on the sneaker app, and then finally getting that W, well yes it makes me feel great. Do I like having to pay up to 250 on some of the shoes, NO, I am not rich. I do not like shopping at the mall, and the sneaker app makes it easy to buy, but when they are so expensive at times I am going to just skip. I like shoes and if I want them I will buy them but if the price is high, then I will skip. I also like to have money to buy groceries and I will tell you, food is more important that shoes. Having something is your stomach is at times a lot better that having that one pair shoes that Nike is selling for so much. So we wait and wait and hope that they will go on sale, that they will sit at the store and also hope they do not sell out. I hope that every one is able to buy what they want and when they want. NIKE, you need out money, please stop with the price hike.

To be real more and more people are buying from "across dat water" more people are noticing no difference in the shoe and sometimes even better quality. Nikes been having quality control issues on they retail I think finally some are seeing the light and just saving money and not dealing with the buying retail hassle, me being one for the past 3 years or so I hardly ever buy or even look for retail.
