@@xnetpc It's not about the person's gender, it's the gender of the character they're playing. For instance, Brian is a guy, so you'd refer to him with he/him pronouns. But when he's in character, you'd refer to Trixie with she/her pronouns.

@@evermoreisamasterpiece I guess things were different back in the 1990s, or I didn't know any better and no one corrected me, but I used to work in a night club that hosted a drag show and I never thought to refer to the performers as she/her. I did, however, refer to them by their drag name when they in drag. I would never refer to them by their drag name when they were not performing. It seems everyone is a lot more sensitive now about how pronouns should be used, but I don't run across people who dress in drag or interact with anyone in the LGBT community to get updates on the rules as they change.
