No idea if people will find this interesting, but because I'm the biggest nerd ever on this topic: NoRuPo is about the Younger Futhark runes. You see, ever rune has it's own meaning and qualities. Those are explained in the form of a Poem, you have old english rune poems, Norwegian rune poems and Icelandic rune poems. In this particular song they sing the Norwegian Rune Poem (NoRuPo). The runes are as follows: Fe, ur, thurs, oss, kaun, reid, hagall, naud, iss, ar, sol, tyr, bjarkan, madr, logr, yr. These are as I said Younger Futhark. Not to be mistaken with Elder futhark. (Writing Old Norse in elder futhark would be the equivilent of putting an LP in a USB port. Heilung also has a song on Elder futhark, In Maidjan. But uhm... I don't think that's playable on tin whistle xD) Again, sorry for being so nerdy. I just can't help myself

Thank you! I LOVE runes and the history behind it. I looked into it a lot last year when designing a rune-based board game ;) It's SO interesting! Definitely not a nerdy thing ;) though that's clearly coming from someone equally nerdy.

@@CutiepieTinWhistle Nice! I got interested in runes during the first covid wave in March. The only good thing the pandemic brought: sparking my interest in Germanic and Nordic mythology

Loved this! Hopefully I can start to learn to play it soon 😊 BTW your not supposed to be able to see much, that is a shamans head dress, it's supposed to help transport the shaman's spirit between the worlds so that they can perform healings and journey to discover truths and contact the Gods and the spirits of the land.

Wow! Well done on the song, Stephanie, and love the costume. Wish I had a whistle in the F key. I only have a cheap mellow D. Thanks for the awesome content! Will you do Somewhere Over the Rainbow for us? I've figured out some of it on my own, but still really new and struggling to figure out which note to start with. If anyone has a suggestion on where to find songs to learn, it would be greatly appreciated. Can't seem to find many and the ones I do find, I don't understand their "tabs"? Have learned them by letters.. 🙈
