Heisenberg was a German physicist and a contemporary of Einstein, Bohr and Oppenheimer. I believe he appears as a character in the movie about the latter. He is famous for proposing or discovering the principle by which the more you know about something, the harder it is to predict. In other words, the more precisely you are able to determine a quantum particle's position, the harder it is to figure out its momentum and vice versa. It's a thematic allusion to Walt's actions and how he takes everyone by surprise in this episode in various ways.

The "putting out a cigarette on your tongue" trick isn't actually that hard. You just sort of cup your tongue so it holds a little puddle of spit and just touch the tip of the coal to it. The spit soaks through the coal through capillary action and puts it out almost instantly.

Emilio was NOT the snitch. He got released on bail. Krazie 8 was the snitch. The reason Emilio was arrested was Krazie 8 snitched on him and Jesse.

Which is something to keep in mind when contemplating the price Jesse pays for his relationship with Walt - if not for Walt's meth, Jesse would have been murdered by Emilio. Krazy 8's information is how Hank busted Emilio during that operation where Walt rode along and spotted Jesse making a getaway. Because Jesse got away, Krazy 8 was able to frame him as the snitch and blame him for Emilio getting busted. If Jesse has not walked in with Walt's excellent meth, and given them a motive to spare Jesse until they could find out where it came from, Emilio would have been hunting him down.

One question why doesn't the explosion set off the rest of the mercury fulminate? The percussive wave from the blast would hit it at least as hard as throwing it at the floor.

The show was known to take scientific liberties at times, but some materials are actually quite stable unless they meet a specific tipping point. Tannerite is a good example. Hit it with a shotgun pellet, and it won't do anything, but hit it with a high-velocity rifle round and it will explode. A similar thing happens in mag or belt loaded firearms. When a round is fired there are concussive forces from a massive explosion happening right next to the rest of the bullets, but they don't go off themselves until their primer is struck

It's not about a good man driven to desperate measures to provide for his family, it's about a brilliant and proud man who has let society push him into a box, and who has sat on his anger over it for years ... and now that he already has a death sentence, threats and fear are not going to hold him back much longer.

Our first introduction to Tuco isn't a pleasant one. Psychotic and addicted to Crystal, he gives Jesse some beating. A great scene when Walt goes to see Tuco and has the Fulminated Mercury to explode and blow up Tuco's place. It took some balls. A great scene from this show, but Tuco is bad news. Loving the re-watches of this show again. It's just superb.
