The driver was truly a seasoned pro but I cannot in anyway criticize his partner. He may have been nervous (like the driver) but he stay composed. Many of those criticizing him would probably be screaming, sucking their thumb in a fetal position. Kudos to both and despite the crime situation being as bad as it is in South Africa, I am encouraged by the black-white partenership. As someone who admires Nelson Mandela, I am rooting for the country.

It has already been established that the 12 ambushers in 3 vehicles had previous military/police training. He hopped out because he rammed one of their vehicles, which resulted in his own vehicle becoming stuck and unable to move, at which point he exited to engage the two remaining attackers who he hadn’t been able to evade via driving, at which point they ran away and he opted not to fire because they ran towards a hotel.
