Meh debatable. Itachi was strong enough to take on a shit ton of uchiha no problem. The other non uchiha ninjas, except for the sannin, hiruzen and danzo are fodder in comparison. Orichmaru betrayed. Tsunade dipped for gambling and jiraya went on a story adventure. Hiruzen is a complete pacifist and good guy so he wouldnt fight. And danzo, who isnt as OP cause he didnt have the sharingans. So that leaves uchiha vs other ninja, and other ninja are genrally fodder, so if itachi was on the uchiha side, considering his feats, they might have actually won.

This arc is adapted and changed a bit from the og light novels, meaning some scenes r changed and cut out. 1 thing they left out from the nine tails is a scene with itachi and his mom. The mom was home and holdin sasuke, and she saw a bolder of debree being flung at her. Itachi reacted and immediately jumped into the air, kicked it and destroyed. This completely shocked his mom, as she was a jonin and got outdone by young itachi. I think this got cut b/c in the anime itachi said his parents werent home, but the book changed it 2 only his mom was home, so the anime didnt wanna confuse the audience about canon/retcon shiz

I still do not understand how they believe that Tobirama assigns the Police to the Uchiha is a bad thing. It was shown that whenever they are indifferent they go crazy, like Madara trying to attack the village or Fugaku organizing a coup. Tobirama made the best decisions to deal with the most unstable clan in the history of the Leaf, the one who sent them to a corner of the village for the invasion of Kyuubi was not Tobirama, it was Hiruzen.

One thing irks me is that the anime adaption portrays him thinking about life and death at such a young age, while in the books he was more goal oriented even if it was childish/naive: To be the greatest ninja ever to stop world conflict. It also skips major parts of the novels: -Meeting Danzo during his Academy graduation -Kakashi jumping in just in time before Tobito kills Itachi -Chunin exams -ANBU prerequisite mission with Shisui - Many Izumi interactions with Itachi -Background context to Itachi's moments with Sasuke -Humanization of Fugaku -Yoji Aburame -Yashiro being a bitch and getting what he deserves during the massacre

From how I understand it, the Leaf Village had always functioned as simply a village, with no sections for any of the clans except the Uchiha simply because the elders didn't trust them. Legit only the Uchiha had ever been grouped together like that, and it's mostly what they wanted as they've been grouped together before they were moved it seems. Also those guys were total simps for Itachi
