Held Sambia Pro Summer Adventure Gloves Review

The Held Sambia Pros are the latest addition to the long running and successful Held Sambia lineup of hot weather adventure/dual sport gloves. These add some new venting and safety features, but do carry a hefty US price tag of $175. An excellent option for hot weather touring, with premium construction to justify the price tag.

Held's vented palm approach is a game changer! I've had mesh backed gloves but your palm still boils in any real heat, I have the Air n Dry and find just having a vented palm better than just the back. I'll invest in some of these Sambias for riding in peak summer I think!

Being kangaroo leather palms, soak in warm water then wear them on a long ride. Repeat if needed. They will stretch and mould to you’re hand better.

Great review. Thanks Im considering this glove for myself and as a gift for my brother. I have see a few reviews that are also not a fan of the velcro. I also am tempted to buy from Europe(savings on 2 pairs is pretty substantial) Did you purchase from motorstorm chrome burner or fc-moto? Do you mind if I ask how the transaction went? Mike

I bought from Motostorm. I’ve used them quite a bit over the years, it’s always been painless. Protip: review something on their site first for a €20 coupon. I usually order a couple things to make shipping worth it (maybe gloves + boots for you?).

Hi, I am assuming you took the size 9. Did you consider the size L9 (long)? It is supposed to have 5 mm more length. I am asking as I am also in size 9, and I often find that my fingers reach the tip of the gloves in size 9 when using brands like Rukka.

I tried the 9L as well, the finger length was better except the thumb which didn’t seem to change & I was getting squished by the glove at the meaty part of the palm below the thumb too.

@@cblais19 Oh, thanks for the response. Did it break in and get comfortable with time? Some gloves don't break in properly around seams, partly also due to the nylon thread in the stitches not having any give.
