Her, the good girl and the bad girl were all 18 year old's when this first ran, think about that. I was 30 at the time and watched this often on PBS with my Irish grandparents and mother, I had no idea they were that young until recently. I thought they were all low to mid 20's. We didn't have Google back then to look it up lol.

I watch this "Lord of the Dance" movie often.. I can't get enough of it..I really never understood the story but the "Little Spirit" was so believable.. Helen's facical expressions made me want to cry.. This will continue to be one of my favorites of all time.. I am sad to hear that Micheal is ill..He brought Irish dancing to the forefront. His gift was from God and we love him for it.I pray for him and his family.

In 1999 or 2000 "Lord of the dance" performed for the first time in Israel as part of the Israel Festival. I was production assistant on that tour and it was absolutely wonderful to work with these wonderful people. Here's a little story about Helen that she might remember: On the night of the show in Caesarea, the show started as usual and the first half went off without a hitch. Then the second half started and after Helen finished her dance she came off stage and apparantly lost her footing and broke her leg. The production immediately called on her stand-in to complete the show while an ambulance was called and I volunteered to ride with her to the nearby hospital, telling her jokes along the way in order to calm her down and amuse her. She was fine in the end and, despite this minor glitch, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the production and Helen was a joy to knnow, as was the entire cast. I will never forget that wonderful time and I hope Helen remembers it fondly as well.

I was 5 years old when I had first seen "Lord of the Dance" on VHS tape in my room late in the evening, I'm 30 years old now, and I still vividly remember the Little Spirit and how entrancing those flute sections were in the show. Helen's presence and performance, paired with the overall quality of the show, has definitely positively influenced me as a person, it was an absolutely captivating experience as a child.

hello Hélèn I don't know if you will remember me, I was the French pyrotechnician of the troop for 7 years when you came to France I worked with Andy. you were my favorite character and even if the language barrier prevented us from communicating, you were a beautiful, very friendly person and always in a good mood. This is what I remember about you. kiss from France. Valérie SIEGBURG

Thank you so much for this. This show was my inspiration for a long time. Studied choreography because of the thrill I got out of dance dramas and making patterns and telling stories.*** Thank you LOTD cast***
