Like me, I discovered this great voice with the Beatles, singing "Look who it is". She deserved to be known in France, like Petula Clark. I'm surprised that she was only 15 in 1961, my birth year! 🙂

I snail mailed a letter from Kuala Lumpur to Helen Shapiro UK Fan Club in the sixties and received a reply that included a photograph copy initialed by the beautiful and talented girl herself. The memorabilia remained with me ever since. "Walkin' Back To Happiness'' every time I hear her voice.
