HELENA- The Helena High volleyball team beat crosstown rival Captial High 3-0 in the teams' first meeting of the season. The Bengals are now 7-7 with a 4-3 conference record.
Capital took a 10-3 lead in the first set, but Helena High was able to regain the lead and win 25-23. The Bengals went on to win the second set 25-21 and the third set 25-10 for a 3-0 victory.
Senior Birdie Heuiser helped led the way for Helena with a team high 11 aces and 14 kills. Dakota Lieberg had 10 digs for the Bengals while Kiran Dusko added 27 assists.
Kaelyn Saari had 10 kills for Capital while Mckenzie Heppner had 12 digs.
