Thanks for the update, that old structure in Damascus was the old Swimming pool. My Dad and his brother told me about it. Praying continuously for everyone.

Great coverage! There's lots that I wanna say, but hopefully, not too much like before lol. Legion Island was one of the first places I visited looking for fishing spots with my Dad when I moved to Damascus 3 years ago. It doesn't look like a lot has changed with that old swimming pool changing room structure. Maybe the walls have fallen down a little more. I met an older guy who helped write that informational sign. The island was donated to the town after the 1940s flood, I believe, but the chimney still survives, high ground counts.

That’s beautiful country. Hard to believe the devastation is where ever you go. So much damage to so many towns it just blows my mind. Do you know how many miles this flood took? The amount of “Debris” that moved cars, trucks, etc., is CRAZY!! Thank you for doing these videos. We wouldn’t know about all of this if it weren’t for you. Thank you for ALL you do, very much appreciated. Love ya back ❤😊

You do a great job with filming this disaster as bad as it was. Ive been helping with some of the cleanup going on. The debris @28:00 in the video was a huge pile of debris that was placed there by the people that lived on the road that you were heading down. Its been cleaned up a couple of times and people keep adding more to that spot. So that how that got there. The van sitting on the culvert @55:00 is crazy. I have a picture of that on my phone. I was replacing a culvert a couple miles farther up that road. Alot of water came from side creeks of 421 and then started running down 421 like a river. The highway actually became a river and caused alot of damage to people's houses on the sides of the roads. Maybe this can explain a little bit of your curiosity.

You know it seems like the main clean up that's do e is near the more populated areas. I do t know that and I'm not judging. But it just appears that way to me
@beautifulvirginia9629Ай бұрын
@@vaughnhill3437 what I have seen is a lot of people working in a thousand different areas. I have a new video coming today. There is so much work still left to do near hundreds of small streams and runoff ditches. It truly is unimaginable out there.

I may be heading to Damascus next month to see what I can do to help be ready for Trail Days next year. I'm also beginning a thru-hike this year, though I doubt anyone can manage a complete thru-hike until '26 if even then. The trail may just have to be rerouted. At least the ATC is finally putting that oil money to good use and funding the sawyer teams clearing the trail.
@IAmYouProveMeWrongАй бұрын
@OG-PapaDude A thru hike in 2025 is definitely still possible. Don't be discouraged! That goes out to anyone planning a 2025 thru hike. Lots of work has been done, and more is being done. There will be some road walks, but a thru hike is definitely possible. See you at Trail Days Festival 2025! -Damascus Local

Who...is responsible for hauling all the piles of debris away.....? After months. That is Horrible. Where is our Government? Fema / National Guard. Help?
@Curated_Properties_ExploresАй бұрын
'Everyone' is hauling things away, continuously. It is hard for a viewer who doesn't live here to understand the immense amounts of debris that flowed down tiny streams that became creeks, creeks that became rivers, and rivers that became massive debris flows. Then, all of that flowed down onto cars, houses, businesses, trailer parks, and waterways. Your Positive verbal support and thoughts in support of all that 'Everyone' is doing go a long way. The devastation is mentally, physically, and financially draining.

@@Curated_Properties_Explores You are right...as a 'viewer' we can't understand this, immense amount of debris. (Let alone, the destruction of those houses / land, he filmed) By 'Everyone' do you mean the Locals and the Volunteers? I just 'thought' I would SEE > some Gov. organizations coming in to Help. Where are they? Are they there? (I have been watching anything/everything for the last 2 months) I have never seen such heartbreaking.....devastation. 💔
