Having done this drive at normal driving speed, I can tell you that the approach to the summit is pretty spooky. It's just winding turns overlooking some pretty long drops. I cannot imagine doing it at such crazy speed! Really takes a lot of guts. Great video, and congrats to Pastrana , the team, and of course the manufacturer.

Great video. Id rather have the new wrx be closer to this than to a crosstrek with more plastic. Subaru, listen to the enthusiasts instead of using them as a platform to look sporty. We know you can create something amazing with the same budget so just do it. Away with the chunky and the bubbly, away with the bigger and worse. We want a wrx that is lighter, faster, more powerful, and beautiful to look at. Thats not much to ask from a company like your own. Lets see it happen!

I had a 2002 WRX and a 2004 STi and I've been watching and waiting for Subaru to do something different (as far as a serious increase in performance) for 20 years. Subaru completely dropped the ball for Subaru enthusiasts hoping and waiting for a step up in performance like every other car maker has done. The Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, etc..... are light years better today than they were 20 years ago. The Subaru STi is basically the same 20 years later.

I did it in a 45 year old Chevy II, 230 CI, Powerglide, 4 wheel drums and a single piston master cylinder. Not that fast going up and it nearly caught on fire coming down.
