I used to be a helicopter mechanic in the military. Everyday all the maintenance crew were in pure awe of how these things operate, and moreso how anyone would choose to fly in one.

I was a military helicopter pilot and I was in awe of the folks who maintained these things and kept us safe!

That's so amazing I want to learn how to fly an Helicopter so badly

It's an awesome goal. They are fun to fly... So much more so than airplanes.

The levers connecting pitch must be 90Deg before pitch movement. In other words e.g. swash goes forward( down) the linkage to blade adjust pitch 90deg before. Why? Because of Gyroscopic movement. Cheers

I got a lot of comments on that so I did a whole another vid that explains how what you're seeing in this vid is correct. Remember, the pitch links are almost 90 degrees of from the axis of blade rotation.

@@bzig4929Nicely done. This graphic represents a fully articulated system. Different actuator positioning is required for a semi-rigid system. I'm sure you know, given the difference of hunting (lead/lag) versus teetering characteristics of semi-rigid. Of course, a fully rigid system has its own configuration and control requirements. Many years ago, as an instructor, I used an R&D film from Sikorsky. They mounted a camera on the blade at the mast, viewing span-wise down one blade on an H-37 (if my memory is correct). That film illustrated how the blade moves along its rotational plane. Having this video would have been very instructional too.

are the tail rotor pedals mechanically linked together, and do they "stay in place" when you don't move them?

Where did you get the technical drawing for reference?
@bzig49297 ай бұрын
I used mostly photos from the web and drawings in flight manuals and maintenance manuals.

@@bzig4929The video is so exquisite, how long would it take to produce a video like this?
@bzig49298 ай бұрын
It's lengthy... But this is because I'm learning the software tools. I think I have about 10 hours into the CAD design and maybe about the same into the rigging, animation and material shading. I also do research on the type of design I want to create and that also takes time.

Check out my earlier videos. I did a ch-46. This was early and not as polished as I'm trying to make them now. Thanks for watching!
