I think it's also important to go into it with the mindset that "I can bring value and or profit to your business." Take inventory if your non pilot skills. You would be surprised what other talent, skill or personality trait you have that a prospective employer will be looking for that will get you in.
One of my favorite topics, thanks guys. Can you give more of an opinion on the tuna boat gig? After graduation, I'm very interested in tuna boat flying to put up with bad pay and some sh*t living conditions, but come back ashore with a logbook full of turbine hours. I've also heard some negatives about the job (ie; sketchy helicopter conditions, they hire "anyone", etc. ). Your thoughts?

I know one of our HOGS Members advanced his career quickly flying tuna boats to gain hours. None of us here at hogs have experience flying tuna boats can't really comment.

I’m looking into purchasing an experimental helicopter 1 or two seater not sure yet. Do you know of any ways you could make money flying your own experimental helicopter?

Experimental aircraft are very limited on what you're allowed to do. Check out www.faa.gov.

Not to be critical, but as a point of info, Chris' audio sounds much better than Kenny's. I'm curious if they are the same headset, and which one Chris is using. I'll be buying gear soon so I'll need some headsets to consider. Also is there a good place to look for used pilot gear, other than going on ebay?

Same headset. eBay is only thing that comes to mind.
