To explain how the Stinger works: The missile’s IR seeker (the “camera”) is linked to the launcher while it is in the tube. The cylinder you put in the base is a battery/coolant unit (BCU) designed to power and cool the IR seeker. By keeping its temperature low, it has a lower reference point temp, which means it can better pick out heat sources, such as jet exhaust, even at a great distance and in hot environments while you try to get a lock. The data the seeker outputs is fed to the launcher, which outputs the data as an audio tone. The staticky sound means the seeker doesn’t “see” anything hot enough to be a target, and the screech means it is picking up a heat signature significant enough that it can lock on. Pressing down on the touchpad is the equivalent of pressing the launcher’s “uncage” switch, which tells the seeker to lock onto the target and unlocks (“uncages”) the seeker’s gyro, allowing it to tilt and follow the target. Tilting the launcher up after uncaging (called “superelevation” in the actual Stinger operation manual) provides elevation so that the missile’s ejection motor (a small rocket to get the missile out of the tube) has a chance to get that long can of ass-whoopage out and away from you before the primary rocket motor lights and goes screaming after your target like a psycho ex wanting child support. @@TheIrishBread I don’t understand your question. Are you asking about the missiles on the helicopter? Sure, the Ka-50 Black Shark is rumored to be able to mount a pair of Iglas under each of the wingtip countermeasure pods (so four total), but that’s not what Tobi was asking about in the video. He asked about the Stinger, and that’s what my comment was intended to answer. The mod’s Ka-50 doesn’t seem to be carrying any Iglas, though. It’s got 4 S-8 rocket pods.

Guess I need to start learning how to make TnH characters, because this mod makes me want one based on Arma 3. With vehicles, music from the game, and hotdogs that see you and yell “MAN, 100 METERS, FRONT.” Don’t know if it’s also possible, but if it is, then jankier physics.

This concept is part of why i think co-op, especially for T&H, would be absolutely fantastic, having someone to help you breach rooms with, or a friend flying a helo to actually be the killstreak/air support is just a really cool thing that i think would be a great addition, especially with all the dumbshit you can already do in the game I know, and completely respect anton's standpoint on it, and agree for good reason, oh lordy dealing with all those physics AND networking would be a nightmare, but its at least a rad concept

My seats seem to be broken. In the humvee, it snaps me sideways and i'm not locked into the seat. The helicopters don't lock me in at all either. I use thunderstore mod manager. How to fix?

Im honestly not too sure. Id assume everything is up to date since the mod manager will tell you if it isnt. Maybe try making a new profile in the mod manager and just download one of the vehicle mods and see if it is any better. Could be a stale download, or maybe something is just broken and not fixed

I'm pretty sure all the ones I've seen or heard of online have been mentioned to be Mosins if it was mentioned at all, but I didn't know if that was because Mosins we're common and cheap enough that people didn't mind cutting them up or if an Obrez was specifically a cut down Mosin.

@@leeannR1 there might have been updates since then. Check the webpage for the mod in your mod manager. The Titans from the same author now have you touch the right side of your head to lock yourself in the seat, maybe these were patched too
