I mentioned that with 3 days of food my pack Weight was about 21lbs. I meant to say that for 2 days 1 night the weight was 21lbs. My apologies.

How much was that Bergen ??? Where did you get it ??? Great packing list !!! Keep up the great work !!!
@swampdweller15667 ай бұрын
@thefucrew9865 I order mine off of ebay. I think there on Amazon but the sellers on ebay have more color options, but they do ship from Europe. As far as price I think I payed around 170

@@swampdweller1566, thank you for the quick response !!! Do you know the difference between your Bergen, and the Helikon-Tex Matilda pack ? Is yours bigger, or smaller ?
@swampdweller15667 ай бұрын
@thefucrew9865 if I'm not mistaken the bergen is smaller than the Matilda. The bergen is about 18 liters but seems to hold closer to 20-25 IMO

Cracking use of space there, nice kit show too. I have a few camping friends who adore the Helikon Bergen for overnighters and longer here in the UK. I'm still loving my Karrimor SF 30lt for mine. But I am so tempted to pull the plug on the HT Bergen. It looks so sexy, don't it?!

Man.. excellent video. Im still fitting mine to Alaska.... its def not a winter pack but the green season is here now so I have high hopes.. You really made that pack at home for your area. I can only hope I have such fortune this summer.. You are an inspiration for those smart enough to pay attention!

Thank you! Dare I say this is quickly becoming "The Pack" for me... For green season I think the pack will probably really shine for you up there. It's definitely at home down here for summer. I'm glad you enjoyed it most don't think beyond the surface of "kit". I'm glad there are some who can

enjoying your reviews on this pack as I use one myself. one mod I did was put the Helikon-tex hip pad on the waist strap to give a bit of support (think I might have a couple of decades on you) and allow for a phone pouch. you can put other pouches on but I find they get in the way when walking. the other thing I have added is a mil surplus flash bang pouch to store my esbit fuel tabs in just to prevent them contaminating anything. keep up the great work.

Another great video! Thank you very much for this great Loadout. Finally someone who carry a Hygiene kit for overnighters. You really thought about it what you carry in it. I like this pack really much too. Best regards, GR 🤜🏼🤛🏼

Nice simple setup. I tend to like a hammock in the summer myself check out the dd travel bivvy hammock, I got one last year and it’s great, a hammock with a built in bug net and you can also set it up on the ground and have a skitter net around you and can also put a tarp up if you need it

I prefer a 2 man Dan Durston tent (X-Mid 2 Solid) $329.00 2.5 pounds or 1.1 kg. I have a complete hammock setup all multicam and I have taken it down to -20F. One thing I never considered is my dog. He was getting ate alive in the summer and the winter he looked cold to me. With using a tent he is out of the bugs and has his own pad and I toss my quilt over him and he stays warm. I also found with the hammock not every night was a good lay. Where with a good quality pad (3 inches thick) I sleep good. I have now tossed the my hammock setup into my get home bag. I have to say the technology is just amazing with all the choices now. I remember 40 years back we had canvas tents. Everything is lighter now.

Try a Grayl water purifier. It's a bottle similar to the one you showed but it also purifies water which is better than filtering and super easy to use. A real game changer.
@swampdweller15667 ай бұрын
Would love one but currently out of my price range for what it is. One day, I do plan on getting one, tho. It would be alot safer for more areas. Luckily, my area, these filters take care of everything I have to worry about here.

This time of year in my area, no. Temps will be above 70°f at night here, and once summer gets here completely they'll be in the 80s at night. And that's not counting the humidity being about 90% in summer all day and night

Treat your cloths with permethrin. I have videos showing how to do this and you will never get ticks on you again.
@swampdweller15667 ай бұрын
Iv tried permethrin here. It worked okay but I have not had the best of luck with it personally, that's just been my experience where I am. Picardian bug spray has been the most effective against ticks, mosquitoes, knats and other bugs for me.

Currently in the swamp in Robeson Co NC. All my gear is doused in Sawyer, only thing that works *for me, is sweating off soap/shampoo, deodorant and then a smokey fire. I also dip a lot and bugs don't like nicotine. You do you
