got mine 2 years ago for about 199 PLN = 50 $ now so for that monney it is fantastic , now proces are over 350 PLN so closer to around 75 $. Lightwight and honestly really nice stitched. Ussualy miltec is considered low budget here in Poland but this smock is really good.

Nice and slick. Recommend tethering your items to the pouch or the PALS webbing. Paracord 1A (vs Type 3 aka 550) is great for this function.

Ive modified mine a bit ! Thought if I am going to spend coin on excellent socks , I might as well drop in some better insoles . Played around with a few and for £16 on ebay found a great pair that offer superb cushioning and a better it than the supplied insole .These are excellent boots ! Probably the best laces ever . For USA readers.... take a look at ALTBERG boots made in UK . My favourite heavier boot .

I just picked up a uv-17r. I have absolutely NO idea about anything on these kind of radios. Closest I have come was using a basic walkie talkie. So far about all I know is they don't come ready to go and that I should use CHIRP software to set it up. I don't know any of the lingo or any of the technical terms, nothing. I do have a lot of other tech experience, I have spent years doing like rooting/jailbreaking phones and using CMD prompts and things like that so I am sure I'll figure it out.
@richsonner193014 күн бұрын
The menus on these radios once You figure it out is not that bad. There is really only a handful of settings you even need. I personally program all mine breakthrough the face not using software like chirp. It is faster once you figure out chirp but it doesn't take that long manually program. I usually put FRS GMRS Murs than any GMRS or ham repeaters in the area. And if the local police are still analog you can listen to them as well. There's lots of videos on how to program these that's how I learned..

Hey man, new follower. Love this video. New to mobile radios for prep and outdoors. Sounds like this might be a nice entry level radio for my wife and I. Thank you!

They do have the typical Baofeng dirty transmissions. That said, given their price point, the UV-9R Pro's and DM-1701's are now our primaries. The older UV-82's given to neighbors after programming.

Good stuff man just picked up a couple of those uv 9r pros on prime day. I have the apparently discontinued uv9r plus but wanted a few more as they appear a lot more robust than the uv5rs and the audio clarity is a lot better
@swampdweller156617 күн бұрын
@protectpersevere2030 yeah there alot more robust than a uv5r for not much more money. They really are hard to beat for the money

I have 2 Baofeng UV-9RPRO and I can't pick up anything but static except for the NOAA Weather band. It's trying to receive because the light comes on. I don't have a Ham Licence yet so I can't talk on it.

I often wonder what animals think I am when I got to a place where few, if any ppl have gone. The ques you talk about I call "The forest forgetting I'm there" and one becomes adapted to their surroundings, becoming a part of it.... Good video and good points.
@swampdweller15662 ай бұрын
Adapting to your surroundings and becoming part of the forest to the point things think you're just a natural part of the environment is underrated for sure. Most people don't get that. Thanks for the comment friend. Hope your green season is looking up

Great stuff man. Stalking and hunting game in general is perhaps the best practice and skill set that can come in handy in bad times. Not only from a stealth standpoint but also controlling adrenaline and nerves. Outside of real combat (which most of us can’t just experience) stalking a herd of big freaky hogs up close creates that puker factor
@swampdweller15662 ай бұрын
100% agree man. So many aspects of it can carry over to so many things.

All these guys setting up armor plates and NVGs like they are navy seals getting ready to go on night raids . They are going to find out quick that AR500 will be tossed away after carrying it for 3-4 days through the woods . LBE is the way to go if your gonna get out of dodge and rough it

enjoying your reviews on this pack as I use one myself. one mod I did was put the Helikon-tex hip pad on the waist strap to give a bit of support (think I might have a couple of decades on you) and allow for a phone pouch. you can put other pouches on but I find they get in the way when walking. the other thing I have added is a mil surplus flash bang pouch to store my esbit fuel tabs in just to prevent them contaminating anything. keep up the great work.

Im so worried about Game Wardens stopping me coming and going that I dont even carry my kit when I train anymore in case they invent a reason to stop and search me to invent a way to toss me a charge. Not that Ill fish illegally but I prefer to carry what I need to carry..,. Its insane. There are crazy about keeping ppl all in one spot to fish here. Nice little video. Looks like a cool morning, east coast style! I miss those!
@swampdweller15662 ай бұрын
It was a cool morning here, about 55 this morning, perfect weather. Yeah there are a few game wardens around me that can be a pain. But for the most part they are more worried about turkey and duck hunters here than fishing. When hunting season is not in, they don't come to our smaller rivers much, they'll stick to larger lakes and along the coast. Kinda not surprised there that way up there, always seemed like the further north you go the stricter the game wardens get
