People called me crazy last year when Doval was an all star but I said it was by chance because he has no control. I think he needs to get off 102 and go down to 97 and just paint the corners. He's got an arm but he needs to take a step back if he wants to stay around

Melvin is managing the Giants like he manage the Padres. The Padres have been loaded with great talent for the last 4 years and they have done nothing under Melvin. @respox21913 ай бұрын
Basically a perfect storm of the conditions necessary to do it. You can see from the flags that the wind is blowing out to right field. It was a 100mph fastball right down the middle. And you still need to time it perfectly and hit the ball really, really hard. The reason it hasn't been done even in BP is because BP pitchers don't throw hard enough to allow it to happen.
@the6ig6adwolf3 ай бұрын
How hard balls are thrown in batting practice is irrelevant. Pitches aren't thrown nearly game speed during home run derby, and guys still crush balls.

No Giants right-handed hitter until Ramos... Think of the right handed power hitters the Giants have had since Oracle Park opened in 2000; Ellis Burks, Reggie Sanders, Jeff Kent, Andres Galarraga, Bengie Molina, Buster Posey, Hunter Pence, Kris Bryant. Kind of interesting that Ramos is the first Giants right handed hitter to hit a home run ball into McCovey Cove. Never would've guessed it would be Ramos.
