Great video Justin. I have been a Helium Mobile user since their launch here in Miami way before they launched Discovery Mapping and it was just something that was "Coming Soon" well the day it was available I turned it on and kind of forgot about it. Opened up Helium today out of boredom and went to claim my pending rewards and couldn't believe my reward total was $890. I thought it was mistake, needless to say I quickly sent it to my Coinbase and cashed out before they discovered their mistake lol. Probably wasn't a mistake, but I'll definitely continue checking my rewards more often going forward. Side note: i'm a flight attendant and I have no clue if my constant travel plays any part in the amount rewards I earned. Honestly it feels like Vegas, you win some you lose some. I don't get how any of this is calculated. But i'll take it.

@DoItJustinKace11 ай бұрын
You do know that Helium uses the T-Mobile network for its service, right? And you can transfer your phone number over. So you’re pretty much getting the same expected service from Helium as you would with T-Mobile. At least that’s my attitude. That said, I’m not that familiar with using two phone lines on the same phone. But I am actually using data from my phone that just has the app on it so you could have a whole separate phone and still be using data from the Wi-Fi connection with the mobile app and mapping that same way.

It's a shared amount that is split evenly between who is around you using the same thing. Everyone always get the same amount after the pool is split. I get 2000 to 3000 mapping events most days to 800 on others and I usually get the same amount each day with the exception of it going down as time goes by, as it gets more popular. It went down from 2300 a couple weeks ago, with it gradually decreasing every day slowly to 1200 everyday recently.
@DoItJustinKace11 ай бұрын
So it’s split evenly regardless of the number of events? Then why does hip 79 say what it says?
@JeremyGunn1111 ай бұрын
@DoItJustinKace That's how it was explained to me. I am not an expert so that may not be 100% accurate, but I will tell you from anecdotal experience, my mapping events have never correlated to how much mobile tokens I've earned. I'm a delivery driver so I drive a lot but on the days I'm off normally and for the holidays I've never noticed a major decrease/increase in mobile tokens. Just the gradual decrease over time.
@DoItJustinKace11 ай бұрын
@@JeremyGunn11 I appreciate the response. I did the research because someone else told me between family members some got rewards and some didn't and they didn't know why. I was trying to understand, but maybe there was more that person wasn't telling me. What you say makes more sense.
@JeremyGunn1111 ай бұрын
@DoItJustinKace You need to have at least 5 mapping events in 2 non-consecutive hours (meaning 5 events each non-consecutive hour hour) and so maybe they didn't reach that requirment.
