This is directed to Icarus. The secrets hold not just weapons, but also powerups. There's one in particular called the Doomsphere that acts like the Tome of Power, changing the shots of your weapons and making them stronger. Also, the nailgun's standard fire is piercing, meaning if you can get enemies to line up, you can mince them all by shooting them with it. The alternate fire does not pierce, but does more damage. And discharging the soultaker gives you armor for each enemy you hit, so it's best to fire at large crowds. Overall, this Total Conversion is very, very good, and it only needs a few more tweaks and tinkerings before it is considered One-Point-O-Final-Release-Out-Of-Early-Access, so if you're waiting for it to be complete, don't. Just play it already. Not much is gonna be added.

I like this mod however one problem I have is sense I’m using freedoom the textures for the enemy’s switch back and forth between freedooms enemies and the mods and it’s seriously jarring.

I can't believe this mod is 13 YEARS OLD and it's still going, that's what I call dedication, and it definitely paid off, those sprites looks deliciously demonic, and the levels are big enough that i bet a blind play-through would take me hours for a single map.

Took you long enough, Eriance (aka, Amuscaria) and Icarus! The TC itself, Hell Forged took a lot of times to make as far as i know. Had multiple changes - the whole Genre turned into complete Medieval. And also it's been a while to see your video dedicated to said TC! It's not that bad or anything. It was worth the long wait. Overall, enemies in the game feels quite tough. And the Bosses are even more tougher, newer and badass... Er! They really did an excellent job making the whole graphical work for Hell Forged and i recommend playing it. It's again, Challenging and has depth to it. Thou art about to have some excitement!

One thing I found quite surprising when we got a brief glimpse of the map in a couple of levels is the monster count. For levels that are so absolutely enormous, at 18:42 only having 509 monsters seems quite sparsely populated, but the individual enemy difficulty obviously sometimes speaks for itself. Overall looks a solid mod and I'll certainly be trying it out

Icarus, I just wanna thank you, if I didnt do it already, and if I did, then I'll just do it again. Thank you for showing these pieces of art with marvelous aesthetics, fantastic architecture great weapons, and monstrous looking enemies to a broad audience. I am always taken aback by the dreamlike composition of these gigantic maps, and I wonder how many hours it must take to create these top notch examples of level designs. Without you, I wouldnt know that any of these doom mods/wads even existed

The only thing I don't like about this mod is that some of the secrets require jumping and crouching to acquire. I'm neutral on the swimming. Everything else though, freaking FANTASTIC. Gorgeous maps, very well hidden secrets, wonderfully crafted weapons. Really quite excellent.

I have to say, thanks for posting this video, because without it, I would not have given this Wad another chance, and that would've been unfortunate. The first time, I ran dry on ammo in level 4, and was just unable to keep fighting. But I liked the weapon designs and the dark fantasy setting, so after seeing some of your review, I decided to try it one more time. I just spent all morning playing and got to map 6, and am able to appreciate the game much more having given it another go.

You should check out After Doom. Its a 2 map wad that explores what happened after the doom marine enters the portal at the end of knee deep in the dead. It has some really impressives maps. But hell were they difficult.

There’s this one mod I found on my Facebook called Fury’s Sky. From the looks of it, it seems to be a spaceship shooting style game like Starfox. It seems to be just a 3 mission demo for now. I haven’t played it yet and there doesn’t seem to be any screenshots of it on its Doomworld page, but based on its description, it’s something different from a normal Doom mod. I have to say. There is always one secret on each map, that I not find. Some of them are very hard hidden. In Map 3 as example i found 8 of 9 secrets but i don't find the switch to lower the better nail gun.

This Mod has actually an abandoned sequel called "Hell Forged Episode II". On abandon, the author released his resources. Theese Recources were used for custom Enemies in MyHouse.wad like the Heamodemon or the Vampyre.
