Subaru does nothing this episode besides fail to kill the Guiltylowe. Garfiel uses his beast transformation to decapitate Rock Piggie, while Frederica kidnaps Meili. With just Elsa remaining, Garfiel fights her desperately, eventually crushing her with Rock Piggie's corpse. Meanwhile, Emilia faces the future of Re:Zero. Of course they didn't actually animate it because it would've been spoiler-heavy, but the context of the voice acting is enough to form many different theories. Ram confesses her love to Roswaal in the middle of their fight, and steals his Gospel, tossing it in the fire. Roswaal then appears to defeat both Ram and Puck quickly before the credits roll down.

I feel like its how echidna tries to tailor her self to each persons she encounters in the trials example of that is Subaru's first trial where echidna wore a school uniform to subarus liking down to the color of her panties and her changing her personality to seduce and make people agree of fall for her. Knowing that she has full control over the reality of the tea party and the trials it wouldn't be unlikely for her to change some of her features that be to better manipulate someone by showing a more soft and trustworthy face or make someone disgusted by her by making a more distorted face. But thats just a theory tho just speculation

: Elsa referred to her immortality as a blessing, though it is officially called curse doll (呪い人形). It is a curse which involves the user carving a curse mark that includes the information of the target they want to kill on someone, and upon activation, the person with the curse mark gains immortality, but as a cost, they lose their sense of self and can't do anything else but kill the target and they die when the target is killed. Also, there seems to be a limit to the immortality. However, there's supposedly a way to cast the curse without the person losing their sense of self, which is what happened to Elsa, though repeatedly dying turned her into a curse doll. People who become curse dolls are mistakenly referred to as vampires due to a curse doll once drinking blood in an attempt to die.

The witch cult worships the witches and it doesn't seems like regulus respects her despite being the witch of vainglory. It could possibly mean that pandora was not the witch of vainglory from the beginning but a worshipper of witch of vainglory. When pandora first made an appearance fortuna's reaction was filled with anger. It's possible that pandora killed emillia's mom and stole her witch factor. We've seen subaru being compatible with the witch factor of sloth after killing Betelgeuse so it might be possible to also steal a witch's witch factor and have access to it's authority. Think about it, the witches doesn't seem to have any history with pandora when they were alive.

I really felt Minerva is Emilia's mother, because Echidna calls her a witch's daughter despite being a witch herself. Echidna is closest to Minerva, and both Echidna and Minerva know Emilia's mother and Minerva's conversation with Emilia took a turn when she mentioned Fortuna. Minerva is also close to elfs, I know there's a time difference and I could be completely wrong.

@@flashbang684 I'm not sure, but all I know is that it took WAY too long for S2 to come out. White Fox usually animates 1-2 animes per year, so it makes no sense why they waited so long given how much content there is in the LN, and if this trend continues (and COVID gets worse...) we could see another 3-4 year delay again, which is why I really think another studio should take over at this point.

This isn't a spoiler btw but The visions and voice clips emilia heard for priscilla, cruschs, rom, julius, alberon, garfiel and wilheims, they are probably most likely about arc 5, but rams, anastacia, frederica, felix, petra, and roswalls sound maybe about Arc 6 or 7. I could be wrong however as i have only read up the beginning of arc 7 and am caught up to the beginning of arc 6. but felt and subarus are very different, felt could be about arc 7 or further and subarus sounds like its from the re zero alternate timeline IF for his ayamatsu Pride arc where hes a villain against reindhart. The fact these clips are maybe someweren't in short this anime has been always my fav thing for the longest and i will wait until im 50 for it to end lol which will probably be when the If routes or a movie/series for the If routes will be made. i think even a prequel will arise by that time about wilheim and theresia or something along those lines of the Re zero EX series. May i also suggest that echidnut maybe talks about the video games? i love you weebs and hentai connoseurs lets keep supporting re zero and maybe we can surpass the 90 year old waiting for berserk to have a good adaptation and have a completed series that doesnt end in a manga or LN.

The fights are not THAT awesome. It still has lot of cuts during the fight and change in scenes to other characters. It is just the first proper Re:zero fight. For example it's not like Kakashi vs obito fight where it's just a full fight.

AoT fights and lots of other action anime have better choreographed battle scenes than this. The reason people like this episode so much is not because of the fights alone but the weight behind them and the interactions and actions taken by the characters they've come to know and sympathise with.
