I'd like to provide my input in a few things: For those of you that don't understand what Rooswal was explaining to Subaru moments before his death, allow me to give you a rundown. Rooswal tells him that he's got that one thing that is truly precious to him and that he must get rid of everything but that. Now let's assume that, that one thing, is Emilia (Rem fans please don't curse my soul). He's basically saying that, if you want to truly progress and be able to overcome the situation, you must direct your 110% to that one specific thing. Subaru is constantly trying to protect everyone and I mean EVERYONE. Consider this for a second: If Subaru were to abandon the entire situation at the Mansion, and in the process let Rem, Petra and Frederica die, Elsa would have completed her mission and eventually would leave. Now that's out of the way, you get to focus your entire energy on how to solve the situation at the Sanctuary and your problems are now cut in half. It's by focusing on Emilia, and Emilia only, that Subaru would be able to overcome this challenge easier than just dealing with EVERY. SINGLE. PROBLEM. by himself. Sure you can argue that Elsa would still be on the loose and she might come back later, but you have managed to, atleast partially, help the situation at Sanctuary by dealing with the Trials, Emilia's mental condition and possibly even the Great Rabbit Long story short: Let go of everything else but that one thing that is truly precious to you, even if it means letting them die and never be able to recover them. And on a quick and final note, I've seen many people say that Emilia has been possesed by the Witch of Envy. As an Anime-Only, I've had to rely on LN Readers to understand this situation better, becasue even I at first thought she was possesed. Basically Emilia, after being separated and isolated from everyone else, decided to undertake the Trial non-stop and with every failure and no psychological support her mental condition deteriorated rapidly. To put it in perspective, her mental condition at that point is at the same level of a Psychotic person who's lost all touch with reality and this is proven further when she lets Subaru rest on her lap while bleeding to death, but to her, he's only just tired and needs some rest.

Just theorizing here but, when Beatrice said, "Why did you leave me alone for 400 years" to Subaru I felt as though she was trying to talk to Echidna through Subaru. We know that Echidna told Subaru that she's been watching him so, it's fair to assume that she is watching him even now. Maybe Beatrice knows that and she is trying to speak to Echidna directly through Subaru? Idk, maybe i'm reading too much into it. Just my thoughts. Great review/analysis once Again. The pacing was good, the comedy was on point, the video is spoiler free, and you gave us some information to think about. Once again, another 10/10 video. I really really liked the first season but it is now that I've completely fallen in love with this anime. Subaru used to be able to solve most of his problems with 3/4 restarts, but now we're like in the fifth one and each death has been more gruesome and dreadful than the last. At the start of this episode I was smirking along with Subaru, I really believed that it was this time that he was going to get all the answers he needed but instead he just discovered that it's been basically useless and that this is going to be much harder than he thought. Now he now's that: Emilia will go crazy if he leaves her, he can't help Beatrice, it's useless to take the maids/rem to the town because there are even more enemies there, Garfiel is unwilling to help, the witch might appear to kill everyone and Rosewall isn't going to do nothing besides follow his book. Subaru Is basically gonna need multiple clones to do so much stuff at the same time. I'm really *dying* to see how he will get out of this one (pun intended)

Re:Zero is one of the best series when it comes to sound design, the soundtrack, and when they use both. Great shows know when to use their sound track, and even greater shows know when to not use it. The sound track (or lack of in some cases) always adds something to the scene. It conveys what they want you to feel, and you feel it clearly. The sound track in this show, in my opinion, almost completely makes up for the fact that we don't hear or see most of Subaru's thoughts and inner dialogue and such, since the sound track basically tells us what he's thinking or feeling. A feat like that is really hard to achieve. Don't even get me started on the voice acting either. It's soooooo good. I didn't even realize Takehito Koyasu was Roswaal's VA until this episode when Roswaal, the character, dropped his normal silly voice.

This entire episode was just absolute pain. It took the idea of "Oh yeah, he's confident now I think this is probably his last loop." and turned it on it's head. Like he was doing so good and then everything fell apart. And we had to see Emilia fucking snap. Ok crackpot theory but Emilia had purple mist swirling in her eyes, which looks a lot like the mist that Satella emits. So it seems likely that she not only went insane, but was possessed by Satella. You can tell that Satella is trying to make Subaru love her by imitating the stuff that Emilia does. Emilia is trying to do the stuff that he remembers as good, such as touching his hair and letting him place his head on her lap. It's creepy as fuck, but I love it.
