Trust me....I was an abused child....she is NOT blaming the children for letting it happen....she is shedding light on an ugliness that should never be allowed to exist. She's making us look at it and hoping we will stand for those who can't stand for themselves. All evil in this world needs....is for good people to stand by and do nothing. If you see or suspect child abuse....step in....with both feet....and stop it.

Gives reality to what the song is about. This is a reality too many children endure. Pat sings the anthem to stop this madness.

When I first learned that this song existed, I jumped to the conclusion that this was just an evil song. I guess I shouldn't haven't arrived at such conclusions based on titles. It is definitely a sad song. However, I realize now where she's coming from. Hmm. Is she cursing when singing, "hell is for hell?" Does that part make sense?

I still remember a newspaper column back in the 80s, either Ann Landers or Dear Abby. In it, she went mental about hard rock and metal. The funny thing was, she only listed song titles, and this song was mentioned. I remember thinking, "How ignorant is this old broad?" Smh. .. Anyone listening to the lyrics understands, but if that's not enough, maybe the anger and contempt in Pat's voice might be a clue. Great song with a powerful message.

Hearing this song reminds me of a lot, but it reminds me, also, of the moving intro "Suffer the children" that she had on a version of this song. It was sung so soulfully, it was almost as moving, in a different way of course, yet almost, as moving as these agonizing images are.

In case anyone doesn't know . . "Suffer the little children to come to me" quoting the Lord, when people stopped children going to him. King James translation. Suffer, then meant ALLOW. So the Lord was saying ALLOW the little children to come to me

I remember listening to this song as a kid, I was one of those kids, I am now 57 years old, and I am still in hell even though my main abuser died in 2017 in someways a different type of abuse has gone down one and then two generations below me, though I am still the receiver. When does it end?

I was fortunate enough to have loving parents who never abused me or my brother but sadly others weren't as fortunate. My heart goes out to them because abuse, no matter what type, is never justified. Their voices have been silenced for way too long!

So how does a 4 year old kid deserve a beating for something like dropping a dinner plate? And then for the rest of your life you'll be further targeted for ostracism or further abuse the moment you exhibit a symptom. Even the goddamn teachers didn't seem to have a clue back then, have they learned anyting since?

I grew up with mental abuse and negelect. My so called mother wouldnt feed us hardly at all. Shed go out and bring food for herself and tell us kids to find something for ourselves, which wasnt much. She told me i was never good enough. I endured 18 years with her till i left and went to the only person that still gave a shit about me. My dad. When i was with him i had food, i had clothes that fit, i was happy. If there wasnt enough for him to eat then he didnt eat, but he made damn sure that us kids ate before he took a single bite. My mother never did that. She always put herself first. She used the child support to party and put herself through collage. Not a single dime was spent on us. But im proud of the man ive become. I can finally say fuck you mom, something i could never say as a child because i knew i had nowhere to go. She manipulated everything about my life until i left. I didnt have it as bad as some kids but im proud to say i survived what i went through.

Can I just say: "Hell is for children" doesn't mean that hell is ACTUALLY for children. She's not blaming them for letting the abuse happen, either. She's saying that children frequently go through the most hell if they're abused, because they don't know what to do, and may even grow up thinking its normal.

My mindset at the time was it's normal and I deserved it. As a toddler, horrifying dreams of monsters. They were the monsters. In third grade my art (drawings were) was violence of mangled bodies - look out for that art.. I think on some level, teacher T. S. knew something was wrong.

when,i was in grade school my art teacher did '"end of year drawings" of each table with the kids on it..my pic of a very sad looking kid with his arm on the tables and his head resting on his Folded arms..she laughed about it...MY HEAD WAS ON THE TABLE BECAUSE I WAS REALLY DEPRESSED AND I HAS TIRED OUT from working like a slave after school and on weekends in my fathers business.i was depressed because I was threatened and told i'de be beat up or killed if I stopped working to even go to the bathroom.

I don’t understand how these sick individuals could harm little angels! I want to save them all, but WTH are the authorities to stop these crimes? Why isn’t anyone doing anything about it? I just don’t understand how this goes on the way it has been.. all those trafficked and murdered children. I thought my life was horrible with an alcoholic father that would beat me but at least I was never sexually harmed by anyone. I can forgive him because he never did the worst...not those things. I just wish he had stopped drinking. I can’t imagine what those children are feeling. We must break the cycle! There’s no excuse!

***** #(36). Thanks for that -the really nice compliment. My Therapist is getting frustrated, lately that he doesn't seem to be helping. Well he's been doing for 30 years. Some of the music, makes me forget about my depression, & like a drug , helps alter my mood, but safe. No pill in the world, will give back all the time I lost with mostly my 1st son with him. Richie & he's 22 , & lives in a group home (Thank God , not with his dad). My Twins , who I spent my whole life with them are doing well & in College, just turned 19/ They are from my 2nd marriage (Dan). Rich (dad of Richie) is not the father of my twins. He learned from generations of abuse & jealousy, I think he's bothering me - cause that is one of the reasons. My sons are successful, & he (can't prove it) but really did a bang up job on raising my 1st son Richie/ & thinking, he hurt my baby. I'm not interested in having a lot of money, but I don't know how much time I have to live on this Earth, & before I go/ experienced near -death- so I know . I have to make sure my kids are taken care of, especially Richie, cause i taught Dennis & Danny- every good thing I could , that I am grateful from learning from my loving parents. I have Antique's I want to Liquidate. For expenses to get what I need done , like for a car to get around. I know what I need to do. Just don't have the resources- the all mighty dollar-but so would use it wisely. Thank-you sweetie, words of encouragement is priceless. XOXOXOXOOOO

The song isn't too much for me to deal with, but some of these photos are disturbing. An example of this is the silhouette of the parent (or guardian) who is about to hit the little girl. And the child with the burned arm and the teddybear is upsetting too. Uggh. Just Uggh.

CHILDREN ARE MINI-ADULTS," claim those who think children should have a blatant lack of regard for the feelings of others, be rude to people who can barely stand up to them, and grow up to be someone who might get the shit beaten out of them. If you say, "Don't do that," they think you're abusing that child. My own was taught not to obliterate conversations, not to lie, cheat and steal, and I had no tolerance for acts of cruelty committed either by her or against her.

Children are not adults, nor do they think like adults! The mind is not developed. When you show patience and love but talk to them about right and wrong, it will lead them in a better direction than if you beat the crap out of them and show no tolerance all the time. Children are too young to be perfect.. adults aren’t perfect! I believe when an adult destroys the future generations there needs to be consequences and I do mean the death penalty in many more cases than what has been handled! We don’t need corruption on this planet!

You can hear the hatred and outrage in her voice, and in the lyrics, but I do not think it is directed at the children. I think it's direct at the abusers, and the people who stand by and do nothing to help them.

Well the big thing is the way she says Hell is For Children. Hell the phrase itself gives credence to it. Like I said I know she doesn't like abusing kids, but the way this song is set up it gives off the wrong idea.

Well unfortunately, the "adults" in Palestine have put those children in such a horrible predicament by being genocidal terrorists and attacking other countries. What is perhaps even more unfortunate is that those same children will lose whatever innocence they have left and become terrorists in adulthood by being indoctrinated into a death cult and taught to hate by the "adults" in their lives.
