Bren gun is pretty good in medium to long range and if you can be on the move, the bipod provides the flexibility if you tryna shoot stable, I’d choose it over Lewis gun anytime.

The m1 carbine being put over the MP40 genuinely hurt my soul. Also, as someone who "mains" assault, specifically raider class, the grease gun deserves an automatic fucking F tier. I mean if you're comparing it to the other raider classes that have the PPSH, STG, and Bren gun, it literally does not even compare.

I’m hoping they change the last loadout for the assault class for the American forces someday. Swapping the grease gun for the BAR would be great, but even swapping it for the Thompson would bring it a bit more in line with the other factions’ loadouts for that level.

idk what you are talking about. the grease gun is my go to gun for the americans, i understand why on paper its the worst smg, but in practice the gun feels so good and in my opinion the only time you will be outclassed by the mp40 is in very close quarters (clearing a house or a trench). also its a headshot machine with non existent recoil and a very decent sight picture

Its fire rate is so slow I can unironically shoot an m1 garand faster than the grease gun, and in comparison to the other raider classes, the grease gun is dogshit. STG is a 1 shot with faster fire rate, bren gun is a 1 shot, and the ppsh has an insane fire rate.

The trench gun - shotgun - is far better than E tier. With one shot instant kill at close range, you don't need more than five shots, as you've already killed everyone before reloading. It's useless at long range, but that's fine. For urban and trenches, it's a B tier.

I think the PPSH was ranked appropriately. It's not a bad gun, but none of the Russian maps favor it. Russian maps are notorious for being long range fighting. There's pockets of house fighting but not big enough to warrant it over a rifle. When they make an urban Soviet map I will reconsider it being ranked higher but putting it as average is appropriate.

I used to be an M1 Carbine hater, now im a die hard user. It can pop headshots from miles away, and its excellent in close quarters with its fast rate of fire, 1-2 shot kill, and no recoil. Body shots from distance are the only time it feels terrible, which can happen a lot unfortunately

I personally think the FG42 should be allowed to have its bipod for the classes it’s assigned too, even the scoped one. The BAR on the Machine gunner class should be the later model with carry handle and bipod. And I agree with the flamethrower. It should burn buildings and bunkers because that’s what it was used for. Cleaning out fortified positions. Pistols need a buff. The Walter P38 and PO8 need recoil nerfs because it’s a 9m (and pretty much the same thing) the negant revolver and Colt .45 auto need to be one shot kill to the chest at close range. Not sure about the Tokrev (Soviet semi auto pistol) Would love if they added the PPSH that had its rate of fire slowed to conserve ammunition though

It's a lot of fun to use but an SMG is better in most cases. If you're at the right distance from the enemy the pellets will spread out just enough that you can almost always get one shot kills even if your aim is sub par, but that doesn't happen much.

The Bren is better than the Lewis gun because in a defensive position, it has better FOV because your irons don’t obscure wtf you’re shooting at. Furthermore, Automatic Rifleman can also use the Bren gun and it is essentially a better BAR. Quick kills, deployable for 2 classes, has 10 more rounds per magazine than the BAR, and faster fire rate than the STG.

The Bren occluding the whole right side of your vision is what everyone hates. It's hard to react to an enemy when you don't know he is there because he was hidden by your own gun magazine. I suppose you can just make sure you always got a wall on your right side but no other machine gun needs that accomodation. The Lewis gun isn't great but it's at least on par with the other machine guns.

The FG42 not having a bipod pretty much ensured it goes unused. Its horrible at long ranges and its definitely worse at short ranges compared to the STG44 and the MP40. A bipod would have been its only redeeming quality.

Commander, there is a slight error in the Soviet rifles section titled "Mosin Nagant". In this footage, you are firing the M38 variant. This is the fast-bolting one. You however claim that they all bolt at this speed. The 91/38 and the 1891 do not bolt at this speed. For the DP-27, it is also worth noting that the hip fire animation on this MG is the fastest in the game allowing the weapon to be far easier to wield in CQC than other factions.due to there being no delay with the hip fire. Your using the Carbine mosin. There are 4 different mosins in hll. The m1890(fact check) exclusive rifleman, the 91/30, the 91/44( the carbine, also please check if that's it's name, and mosin pu(scoped mosin). The 1890 and 91/30 have the same damage values as all other standard bolt actions, but their sights differ. The carbine has reduced range, only one shotting at limited ranges, but a faster rpm. The other two I mentioned don't have increased rpms compared to other bolt actions.

Mp40 is the best smg for me by a mile , very well balanced. 30 round magazine, quick reload, accurate out to medium range, Good site picture, controllable rate of fire that's not too slow but doesn't dump the mag.

I only have a thousand hours but in my opinion the mp40 is a or s tier that thing head shots at 250-300 meters for me regularly and is just so versatile. Like I said it can take people out long range or up close. Lay down suppressive fire or be selective and accurate. It’s one of the best in my opinion.

I'm nearing 1000 hours on HLL, if I had to make a tier list, and put it in order, it would go like this: S tier: Kar98k, M1 Garand, STG-44, SVT-40, Gewehr 43, Thompson SMG. A tier: MP40, PPSH-41, Hand Grenades, Mosin Nagant M91/30, MG42. B tier: FG42(unscoped), MG34, Lee Enfield No1 Mk3, Mosin Nagant m38, Kar98k (scoped). C tier: FG42 (scoped), Lee Enfield No4 Mk1, BAR, M3 Grease gun, Sten. D tier: Shotgun, M1 Carbine, Browning 1919, Bren, Lewis, Springfield 1903. E tier: Molotov Cocktails, DP28, Mosin Nagant M91, flamethrower F tier: Sidearms

The DP-27 and Lewis gun both have 47 round drum magazines in the game. I don't know why you think the Lewis gun holds more? I like the FG-42 and I have heard some people call it the most versatile gun in HLL and I tend to agree with them. It has better sights for pulling off longer ranged shots than the STG-44 and it has a higher rate of fire than the STG, which comes in handy in close quarters sometimes. I also strangely find it easier to control the recoil on the FG-42 than the STG-44 when really laying into full auto fire but that might just might be a me thing. I just wish the FG-42 had a little more ammo to go with it.

Based on your own preferences you can forgive some weapon stats so the list changes a lot. For me the MP40 is A tier since the sight is easy for me to use and keep shots on target thanks to the slower ROF. Greasegun is F tier because the sight is so poor i rarely land any shots. I'd put the BAR at S tier for the same reason as the MP40 but with the benefit of 1 hit kills.

I have to say, holeheartedly disagree. The M1 Carbine e.g. is inferior to the Thompson and Mp40 in almost any regard imo. All three have poor muzzle velocity, damage output is roughly on par, versatility is muuch higher on the SMGs, one tapping is as easy with the Mp40 as the M1. The unscoped FG42 is easily better and more versatile the M1, as well as the choices for MG placement are weird. I think a longer format would have helped you to make your placements more understandable

@@commandercrane1945 I think a lot the difference in opinions comes from how the guns interact with a persons skill set. If you tend to panic when an enemy randomly shows up at close range you'd likely be better off with an SMG than a semi auto.

It determines the direction the plane or planes approach from. You sometimes need to do it to avoid a building. I also try to gave it approach the back of the tank if using it on a tank, but I don’t think that matters.

The MP40 can be viable at any range, the Thompson is savage at close range. The Kar98 and SMLE do their jobs exceptionally well. The MP40 should be A or S due to its versatility, and I think the K98, Thompson, and SMLE should all be in C or B as solid, reliable, functions-as-expected weapons. I really don't understand the format of your list when you say "these weapons function as they should" and then rank them LOWER than the M! Carbine which you literally say "There's no reason to use this as there's better options in every capacity."

The Mark III with the double clip and those beautiful open iron sights is an A tier as far as bolt action goes. Best bolt action in the game for me perosnally. And disagree with the FG42 sniper role not being good for close range. Thing can squad wipe at close range and is easily an S tier at medium to close rnage in the right hands. Its interesting to see peoples differening opinions on the gun ranks though!

Thompson vs MP40 in the same tier is a skill issue. If you can control Thompson it's easy B or even A and it's not that hard to do btw. So skill issue. Same goes for FG42 (auto rifleman) - skill issue since it gives you higher high and lower low (due to fast firerate). You forgot the best part about Garand - the ping. Makes the pp hard Also I should point out important thing about Garand and STG. While in vacuum the are indeed S but what you bring with the make them both S+. Garand is a standart rifle where outhers have bolt actions. NCO with extra grenades? Garand. AT - Garand. Support - belieave or not - Garand again. Classes that are strong because of their role/utility become stronger for US due to Garand. Except for AT - it's a trade off AT for AI power. STG44 is fine except for Assault lvl9. Satchel, smoke and frags with best arguably best AR in the game? How is that not broken? I think they should swap it for MP40 in that class and instead make German Officer lvl 10 - Veteran Squad Leader with STG44. That would make people play SL and make it interesting but not overpowered

NO WAY YOU PUT THE KAR98K INTO D TIER GOD DAM YOU MUST SUCK AT THE KAR98 TO PUT IT THERE if I made this I agree with basically all of it BUT I'd put the Kar98 in a bare minimum of an B tier but most likely an A tier

The SMLE should have a higher rate of fire. The mp40 has been nerfed. Bring back realistic damage! The bren gun is heaps better than the Lewis...but the dp27 should be able to aim down sight but with massive recoil

For those who put the Kar98 low on their lists, I have just one thing to say. Git gud. I get frequent 10+ kill streaks and have no problem getting 50+ kills in a game with it.

M1 carbine is the absolute worst primary gun in the game, imo.
