Thank you for your time in making this video.. there are a few things though I really disagree with. I just want to clarify, I am not saying either game is better than another.. just things I would like to point out that are misconceptions. Post Scriptums way of making your gun swing when you move it... that is very fake and reflects a lack of understanding in firearms use. Anyone who has held a firearm/replica.. when you are shouldered and you correct or move your point of aim, your weapon doesn't pivot on itself.. meaning the front sight won't sway sideways faster or slower to match the rear sight. Your arm/elbow and and torso will become the pivot point to actually keep your aim centered. Anyone can actually test this for themselves, take any long object (if you don't have a firearm or replica) and put it tightly to your shoulder and swing yourself around.. notice how the front doesn't feel like it's either swinging faster or slower? Another really flawed misconception about firearms; the way they handle in Post Scriptum.. specifically in fully automatic firing modes.. make the game feel and look as if you've just given a massively recoiling fully automatic battle rifle in automatic firing mode to a person who has never handled a firearm. The misconception that recoil is ALWAYS felt as an upwards motion is staggeringly false especially given you are playing the role of a soldier who has gone through training with the used firearms. It just doesn't ALWAYS make sense. There are cases where it does make a little bit more sense, like if you were to hip fire a BAR you would probably have alot of trouble staying on target. As an example of how inaccurate automatic fire is in Post Scriptum... just go on youtube and look up videos of a Thompson M1A1 being fired in fully automatic... that weapon was extremely heavy for it's "classification" and is relatively easy to control. Again... you are playing the role of a soldier who is relatively young and fit and who was trained with the firearm being used. This should NOT be a simulation of your grandma (who, I take it, might have never touched a firearm) taking her first full auto antics. I really believe they exaggerate the concepts of recoil to give the firearms a "meaty" feel. Please keep in mind that many firearms used in WWII we're Steel and Wood (and overbuilt).. they we're so heavy compared to modern firearms that recoil was way less of an issue. As an example of how some games will portray a PPSH and give it immense muzzle rise... really fake stuff. I won't even go on about the mention of the Thompsons accuracy. It's a pistol caliber smg made for room clearing and really close urban engagements.. should NOT be extremely accurate. Anyways, sorry if I sound like I am bashing your video.. I am not. I enjoyed it!

Hm, anyone who has trained marksmen and machinegun teams in actual field conditions (as opposed to range-shooting practice as discussed in your post) will know that the combat-overcompensation when shifting targets is a real and serious thing (much as depicted in PS, I might add.). @@Centurion101B3C ummmm naw lol first off no real machine gunner in a machine gun squad keeps the gun in their shoulder and sighted in while repositioning the crew served weapon to even experience this and for the smaller weapons like an M1 grand the OP is correct you don’t see the front or rear sight moving ahead or behind the other like PS has it done. One thing I have to say is about the Thompson, and yes I do agree the recoil is a little bit over the top, I fired the M1A1 many times and I can assure you that it doesn't move at all really, but what I will say is that 45 ACP is more accurate than you think, you could hit targets with automatic bursts at up to 200 yards reliably.

I've been a long time ARMA player and Project Reality (BF2 Mod) player before that and one thing I will say about player base is that it isn't always more is better. Back in the early days of Arma2 you'd find yourself playing with a much more mature group, often RL military personnel and it was a very engaging experience. Then the DayZ mod hit and brought in a younger crowd to the main game, more akin to COD and the like and things went downhill, a lot more selfish, lone wolf players and I found myself having to stick to closed groups to get that original feel. In my opinion, Hell Let Loose is comparable to Arma2 post Dayz and Post Scriptum is closer to that original experience and as a result I'm happy to stick with the 'less is more' title in terms of playerbase. I think eventually Post Scriptum will expand as a game well beyond a release of Hell Let Loose 2. We'll have to see.

Playing post I genuinely thought I had the graphics turned to low when I saw they were maxed I was shocked. It's audio in post is definitely far, far better but I'd describe the graphics in hell let loose as *curated* everything when you look at it closely may be worse than post but the impression the whole experience of the graphics, the scenic blends of house interiors and static haze of lighting albeit stylistic paints a heavier picture I enjoy alot more than post. Post Scrimptum looks clean, more detailed on inspection but that detail doesn't add up to a better looking game.

@@EyyMvnch Your crazy, playing anywhere that doesn't have active admins is pure cancer. Play on that one France map and they just sit in a tank and shoot you through the bushes from their line. They can shoot through multiple buildings and cover like it isn't there. They like to run around full sprint using the automatics with zero recoil and aimlock you before they have fully exited the sprint animation. People can argue the bush and grass render bs, but if you are a medic or squad lead and lay down smoke, it is pretty obvious when someone is consistently wasting your team with headshots like the smoke isn't there. It is a noticeable difference between gameplay in a server with active admins and the moment someone turns on cheats it is night and day. Some of the best squads on their best day will have a team score of 1200. When you see someone who is level 1-15 with a solo combat score of 300-400+ every single match they're likely not legit. And that's when they are being blatant. The maps are large enough that most people wont know them well enough to get ridiculous scores like that in the first 15 character levels not to mention learning the recoil, bullet drop and leads. HLL is awesome, but don't try to say it doesn't have any hackers. It's like any fps game these days and in unmanaged servers it is just as riddled as every other shooter. The worst are the server operators/admins who use cheats themselves trying to play soldier. Luckily the server list allows you to favorite and filter out the shitter servers and you can consistently have awesome experiences.
@EyyMvnch3 жыл бұрын
@@utterube You must be trash at the game then. And just pure lying. Tanks cannot shoot through buildings. I average a 300-400 combat score too... Most people you think are hacking are simply just not. You're literally just bad at the game and don't know how to play well. I've met only 1 cheater in hell and I have hundreds of hours of gameplay. Learn the mechanics. It's more of an arcade style to learn the physics of things. They might see ur helmet but you cant see them. Some bushes you can shoot through (obviously?). Just learn the game mechanics and quit treating hell like scriptum. If you play the game for even just 100 hours, you should get accustomed to the maps. Sounds like your just complaining and refusing to learn and adapt. I'm not saying 1 is better than the other because they have obvious main focus differences, but your "issues" are avoidable or false.

It also needs vehicles badly. The downsides of BOTH games right now is terrible server issues, like loosing connection to host, timeouts, insane queues with more than 20 people waiting, random disconnects, anti cheat errors and disconnects and so on. Also new maps on HLL stutter, needs way more optimisation. Same with PS new maps. Also PS just randomly crashes with unreal bug report window pop up. After playing Post Scriptum for a week i will 100p say that it is the best war game ever!

What makes tank driving unique is the gear shift system makes having a guy experienced in driving works wonders and when you pull off a maneuver the reward is that much better. Everything else though completely agree with Hell let loose is definitely more forgiving.

I would like to see PS change their suppression effect to something more immersive, realistic, and functional. Typically fear invokes tunnel vision, loss of detail, loss of time perception, and difficulty functioning and thinking. Tunnel vision isn't a blackening effect, but more so like you're moving really fast. Things begin to stretch and warp away from the center point. A good suppression / fear effect would be something like: -Tunnel vision stretching, warping, and blurring around the center of the screen. -Colors fading out. -Some swaying and pulsing of the screen to simulate your heart pounding and hyperventilation. -A bit of image retention and motion blur so time movement starts to blur together. -Slowed actions like aiming, looking, directional changes while moving, reloading, etc., but not likely actual movement speed. -Increased brightness and exposure, but I'm not sure if increased or decreased contrast. Your eyes dilate wildly during the "fight or flight" response. -Hearing should be dampened / muffled and you should hear yourself hyperventilating and your heart pounding. All that combined would surely give you PTSD after playing PS, but trust me it will add a lot to an already great game.

Have you played it? because when I get suppressed in game my eyes focus on the center so I don't really notice the blackening effect as my screen going dark. Maybe a bit of blur and muffled hearing after a while would be a good addition though

I think it’s perfectly Immersive the way it is.

I'm more for the hardcore shooter and damn I've experienced things in PS that few games are able to carry out where you just have that sense of "Oh shit" and just want to curl up in a corner and cry. That being said as mentioned by nick it's two different styles of gameplay so I'm sure Hell let Loose is still a fun experience

I will say the worst thing to hear in HHL is the distant roar of a bomber followed by hearing player yell bombing run get down.

Notice how there isn't an updated comparison now that HLL has gotten major overhauls and feels twice as nice a year later. Creator was definitely biased for PS. He usually expounded upon the virtues of PS, but when HLL did something better it was just a casual, quick mention and off to the next topic.

Or - perhaps I spent more time working on much more important projects this past month and didn't feel like covering Hell let Loose. Hell let Loose & post scriptum aren't high on my list of games to cover right now

It's a shame nobody ever compares motion blur quality. First time I saw the Battlefield 3 trailer it was a mazing experience. Looked so cinematic.
