Crikey 10 out of 10! I have always loved the waltzers, and it's great to see you did as well. So common in UK travelling fairs, and there are several with incredible light packages. Not unusual to see similar cycles to this one, and often with 3 or even 4 people working as spinners. Great review.

Great video, love seeing a KZbinr actually explore and find these little hidden gems, the Waltzers in the UK are amazing but this ride is by far the fastest and best.

I am willing to visit parks big and small if they offer something notable.

another crazy waltzer that i've seen (haven't been on, way too many lights + spinning + sound) is atmosphere creator, I think i saw some offride footage from it in the end bit. Looks batshit crazy and spins quite a lot, i'd recommend going to hull fair to try it or where ever it might be

Yes, Albert Evans’ Atmosphere Creator is a very special one. Particularly so at Hull fair, when it’s built up with the unique arch at its front. So many lights on it, too.
@CanobieCoaster15 күн бұрын
That one looked great, but the cycle appeared a tad shorter.

@ Ride cycles on UK fair rides can be extremely variable, even over the course of a single evening. If it’s busy, they’ll give a much shorter ride, just so they can take more money. They’ll also raise prices in the process, too, if they can. This is can be particularly apparent at the popular ‘back-end’ fairs that happen during September-October. I remember, at one of these, seeing a Top Scan ride charging a lot of money for a cycle where the main arm went around just three times before the cycle then finished. Yet, it was still riding full.

At Blackpool Pleasure Beach there used to be an intense indoor Waltzer in total darkness called The Black Hole. The odd building that housed it is still there to this day- near the Big Dipper's first drop.

Great video. Very informative. I’ve ridden this very ride as Hellraiser in Blackpool and back in its original iteration in Seaton Carew in what was then my home town in the 1980’s. I had no idea that the Seaton Carew waltzer was still in existence. Its current form looks way better than it did when I was a kid!

I think that ride next to it where your sat in an arrow suspended swinging looking car is amazing aswell makes a good 1 2 punch

Which one?

@CanobieCoaster idk how to explain it but you just start spinning in a circle and it starts swinging cuz ur in a suspended swinging car

The waltzer at the Bristol Harbour Festival is pretty wild as well, as is the twister. I personally am quite partial to a good spin on a flat ride, but I found the BHF one a bit too much for the neck.

Thanks for letting me know about that one.

I believe this is a Maxwel Supreme Waltzer of only which 3 were made. I used to Work on one of them and I spent a day riding this Hellraiser when it was owned by the Codonas, and toured in Ireland in 2006

Didn't realize this model was that rare!
@thishandle_isnotavailable10 күн бұрын
@CanobieCoaster There were three machines built at the same time - w77 commissioned by Pat Collins in Wales, w78 by Pat McCormick in Ireland, and w79 which I think is the one in your video, bought by Raymond Codona. There were some of the very last Rides produced by George Maxwell before he ceased trading in 1983

I actually think that there was a waltzer in the USA back in 1975 until 1976 at Carowinds which is the only known waltzer to come to the USA I wish they could bring it back

I would recommend being careful around South Shore, especially after dark unless you’re on the prom. It’s not the nicest bit of town.

I stuck to the Promenade area. Felt safe there given the large amount of people.

Ride to Happiness is better, but this Waltzer does spinning better.

@CanobieCoaster I think it depends on the fair I admittedly only ride it at hull fair one of the biggest fairs where they is heavy competition I believe they is 3 or 4 waltzers so cycles tend to be long this year atmosphere creator had live djs,dancers and even confetti along with the normal light show and smoke machines
