I always love how Christian fundamentalist's argument is basically: "God is a petty, violent, puerile tyrant who wants you to be his slave you whole life so you can earn the privilege to be his slave for all eternity afterwards, and he gave you free will just so he can have an excuse to torture you for all eternity if you don't follow the absurdly set of rules he's given Humanity but refuses to explicitly state, and you're evil if you refuse to obey him and believe that Human beings should be free of this oppression". I love how this guy even states that believing that you can redeem yourself is "Satanist" (while ending the video with a praying asking for God's forgiveness, making this video Satanist, I guess). So wait, what are you saying, that attempting to redeem yourself for your sins is futile and God has already decided what he'll do with you? Seems like that renders your message pointless and means we should feel free to do whatever we want if the outcome doesn't change. Might as well have fun with what little time we have, you know? Also, shock of shocks, we get more misrepresentation of the Church of Satan when he claims Satanists have no regard for others. The core of Satanist beliefs is that each individual is their own god, meaning yes, they should give priority to themselves, but they should also expect others to live for themselves, and therefore you have no right to impose yourself onto them. The idea is to respect every person's individuality rather than pressure them into sacrificing themselves for the "community". I'd argue the religion that expects others to surrender their free will and their life just because them not doing so hurts your feelings is the one that's "acknowledging no-one else". Dude should have paid more attention to "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour". Anyway, who's up for some Abbath?

I'm a Christian. I do not agree with everything this documentary says, neither am I in complete concurrence with Brad Jones (though I lean more towards Brad's perspective). I've seen docs like this one before, on various topics (music, film, literature, games, etc), and almost always arrive at the same conclusion: the the respective authors/directors mean well, but are short-sighted and unrealistic. All right, I'll remove music from my life for XYZ reasons... but could not those reasons apply to other things---should I dispose of those, too? At what point do I stop cutting things from my life? To use an analogy, say I want to discard everything in my house that might be offensive to the Lord ...at what point would I be finished; after the media, figurines, images/symbols and luxuries are gone? When the house is empty? Once the wiring is stripped from the walls? Once I, myself, have vacated? What would remain: a cold, univiting home and a cheerless man with no shelter or anything to offer anyone ...this isn't how God has called us to live. Christians are to be IN the world, but not OF it... What this means (insofar as this documentary goes) is we are not to value our media above our relationship with Christ, or allow it to influence us destructively. If a person has an unhealthy addition to something (doesn't matter what the object of the addiction is), then the person should seek help. That's the proper perspective to take in matters such as this.

I'm pretty sure that, of all artists, Rick Derringer would be the one who would speak in good terms with Eric Holemberg. Especially since they are both far-right assholes.

I believe Eric is actually the brother of a newswriter in the Richmond, VA area (Mark Holmberg; can anyone confirm this?). Mark seems very cool, but I think I saw that he's credited as a producer on this. Striking differences.

If he doesn't like Whitney Huston's version of The Greatest Love of All, maybe he would prefer the Randy Watson version. Though I would suspect even the great Randy would be accused of satanism because his band is called Sexual Chocolate.

I love the DVD-R Hell series. I really dig the crazy Christian propaganda ones the most. I appreciate you condensing this into something bearable sir. I look forward to the next crazy ass DVD-R Hell episode.

I don't remember the part in the bible about the dangers of rock music. Was that somewhere near the part that says men shouldn't have long hair or the part about not mixing fabrics?
