Anyone know the difference with this semi round design and the Square design (Max) double burner from Hells Forge? Which is better, if any?

The square frame one is larger which means more heat-up time and propane usage but should be able to heat up larger objects.

Why did you put the fire bricks inside? I've only seen them used to block off the heat exits at either end of a forge to trap more heat, but your comment made it sound like you intended to forge with them inside.

The bricks it comes with are not large enough to be used to block up the ends. They are intended to be used on the bottom interior of the forge for your project to lay on. The coating is fragile on the inside and this ensures the coating doesnt get broken off with use. I purchased a set of 4 firebricks to be used in the making of doors on either side. Great question that I should have been more clear on! Thanks for watching!

I also should have mentioned the bricks raise your project to the proper "sweet spot" of the burners to heat your project faster.

I put my bricks in when the hells coat was wet. It allowed me to bed it down in the fiber blanket. It gives me more room for bigger stock.
