So what I've gathered going off of Shion's words, Tao if following Wuxing elements would have Fire, Water, Earth, Wood, and Metal. Mu Dan (the Tensen) and Yuzuriha are the same type while Shion and Sagiri are the same type making the second pair a counter to the first pair. Meanwhile little Nurugai enhances Shion and Sagiri, but not Yuzuriha meaning if the two of them happen to be (this is just an example) Wood type Tao, Nurugai would have Water type Tao that restores them, Mu Dan and Yuzuriha would be Earth type Tao that is countered by Wood. This show really got me researching Wuxing philosophy lmao

What Yuzuriha did for Senta was actually really sweet. She brought him peace and comfort in his final moments and gave him reassurance that the crew will be okay. Yuzuriha is an ace babe.

Love this show. My favorite of this past season. And love your reactions! This show definitely deserves to be more popular than it is. I hope MAPPA invests more resources into S2, this show deserves more.

Dang what a way to end the season!! Surprisingly really enjoyed this show when I didn't really feel ep 1. The characters, the action, and the ost, all slap 🔥

Here's why I think Gabimaru's wife exists: We've seen inner monologue from her herself, which would be weird if she was just a fabrication. Furthermore, when Mei looks at Gabi in this episode, we can see that it's almost as if Tao is missing from his head/brain. To me this suggests that something real - the memories about his wife - went missing rather than something fabricated being undone. I absolutely can't wait for the series to go on, what a way to end it! Senta being the MVP once more and Yuzu showing that while she is a realist, she still cares and comforted him in his final moments. I also fully missed the post-credit scene when watching this the first time.

I've read the manga till end, and it will just get better from here. The fights would be more epic, they'll dig deeper into the taoism concepts, and all the mysteries about the island and tensen's background is really interesting. Hope S2 will come soon and with the same quality of animation and art if it can't be better.

@@kaizenwhiz It's all good, I didn't click on show more so I can't exactly say you spoiled me :) that was just a heads up because it seemed like we were getting close with the remark of Taoism and so on! So you didn't ruin anything. I can emphasise with the feeling of wanting to share something you are excited about while trying to keep the main parts hidden still. It's just that some people don't like that, particularly the perceptive ones because those little hints and interpretations might see them figure stuff out much earlier than intended.

But that doesn’t line up really. The chief sent him on a mission that turned out to be an ambush and he was sentenced to death from there, that’s why Sagiri showed up while they were trying to execute him. There wasn’t really any guarantee that there would be some suicide mission with the reward for a pardon

​@@pdas4182 The Asemon have a strong sense of Pride for a clan so they wouldnt lie or deceive others as shown by Shion,Senta,&Sagiri and theyre not dumb enough to get fed information look theyre even respected enough that Gabimaru's village gave him up to avoid problems as stated in the first episode

@@gluebreeza1999 If she's locked up inside the house, that means there's no chance that anyone in the Asemon was able to see her. The information has to come from other sources such as the villagers. Knowing that Gabi is out there (imprisoned, but still alive), it's the perfect trap too. Spread information that she's in her house so that in case Gabi escapes, he'll walk back right into the village. Also, they're a village of Ninjas, you think they are not deceitful or cunning enough to fool the Asemon? Sure, they can respect the Asemon, but that doesn't mean the Villagers are just complacent in everything. There's a reason they're Ninjas.
