Got about 1k rounds through my hellcat pro and it’s been flawless. Hoping at some point they’ll offer an upper of the pro-comp for those of us that already have the pro. Not holding my breath though.

@@MkArms1997 negative. Companies sell parts of their guns everyday. Springfield doesn’t even make these and import them so that would probably be the reason they don’t. Sucks your barrel had “rust” in it. They’re all test fired prior to leaving the factory. Some greases and sometimes Copper fouling is mistaken for “rust”. I’d have sent it back if there was any pitting, but surface rust I’d have just cleaned it good and shot it to take care of that. Crazy if it was badly rusted.

I went from the Hellcat to the Hellcat Pro. The extra grip makes a huge difference when it comes to controlling the gun under rapid fire, but I’m sure the comp will keep it even flatter. The stock trigger leaves a bit to be desired, but the MCARBO trigger and titanium striker kit make this an incredible shooting gun. If they are able to get the XDM Elite trigger in there, it would be perfection.

The grip definitely leaves little to be desired. Not quite sure how the engineers over at Spring field thought that square grip body was a good idea. But besides that I still daily carry the original hellcat and its a great gun. I just might have to offer the hellcat to my wife and pick up this comped version for myself, Especially if i can get it with the gear up rebate.

I didn't care for my hellcat pro grip until I put a hogue beaver tail grip over the stock grip even though I have had massive problems.with my hellcat pro I ordered the comp version I doubt I'll get another lemon

Trigger pin on the lower pops out and the gun starts to fail to feed I've tried a ton of new pins

I'm kind of annoyed they came out with this. My wife has the P365 XL, I have some kind of irrational hatred for Sig because for how much they charge they have crap triggers and when I shot hers my annoyance with Sig increased. She likes it, so fine, she's happy I'm happy. Here's what annoys me, this came out right after I bought a different brand gun exactly the same size as this Pro Comp. Tiny guns are useful to carry around on the belt and conceal so I got really picky, took my time, and really liked the RDP. When the Hellcat RDP came out I bought it, thought I would hate it because I hate tiny guns with my gumby palm a basketball fingers, but I don't hate it. One of the things I love about Springfield is their u-dot sights. I've heard lots of people don't like the U but I've found that I like the Springfield sights more than I like a red dot.

Which ammo type is better for short comp'd barrels? Fast burning powder with super light (~50 grains?) bullet? Or something else?

comp will benefit with most gas that will exit the end. edc \ self defense 124g p+ or p+p is the way to go. for competition you will want to use the heaviest bullet you can with the minimal amount of powder you will probably need lighter recoil spring to support the low gas but this combo is for flat and easy shooting pistol. you can also see videos of port vs comp and combos of port+comp+load+light recoil spring.
