I never thought I would win Fadin medal (the one where you kill the last enemy with your last shell) as that would be ultra luck. But watching several times Skill, last time I think it was with E25 on Sand river exactly as the 2nd game here he saw there was one enemy left, started firing his shells but the enemy was killed. So weeks ago I was playing with the hellcat on Sand river, very intensive game, had 5 shells remaining, our gyus dealt with a Tog (didn't have that many shells for that many HP :D ) and as only one enemy lived I thought- this is it. Shot 4 shells and had only one HE left (I know, I know, not smart choice), someone spotted Achiles, they shot him twice, I got the kill and got the medal. Thanks Skill!!! Looking forward to third mark my first tank if I can ever.

Skillman, the Hellcat is a fearsome predator in THIS game then the infernal Matchmaker scrambles the player pool and pushes the equation (RNG) to challenge you and the random team it creates (like it or lump it) and winning becomes but a dream to achieve. It’s become a “norm” to play a losing streak until the game forces you to drop the tank you’re playing and instead play one you’re always good in. The logic escapes me until you realize you’re in a game run by a corporation for profit - not one for the gamers to enjoy as the top most goal. It’s great if you’r e employed by WG but the bulk of players hold their heads sitting in the “garage” wondering why the game is so hard to play.

So, after 5k battles, i can say hellcat is a great spotter with propper crew, and it is a ghost killer... I use rotation mechanism, gun rammer and optics. Crew is 5 perk. The idea is to get fast bush places to spot, always careful to be out spotted, and turn the hull 180° to relocate. Then you play it moving a lot, always shooting behind bushes akd with a clear cover position. Always control speed. If you see a lonely slow enemy around 400 hp, press 2 and speed ambush him. With rotation mechanism i outplayed cromwells with HE. Sad that the gun has been secretly nerfed with rng

Honestly it's not even a contest, the hellcat wins hands down. I say that as someone who genuinely enjoyed the jagdpanzer, it's not a bad tank by any means but it's got nothing on the versatility of the hellcat.

The Jagdpanzer IV's DPM is better than the Hellcat's by 782.6, which is a huge margin. It also has far better gun handling (about 0.16 better while moving the hull and 0.96 better after firing), meaning that more of its shots will hit their targets and that it spends less time aiming them. It's also far less likely to run out of ammo (50 rounds versus the 30 that the Hellcat carries), and it turns much faster on every terrain type in the game. Lastly, it has better camo values and doesn't get penned by every HE round that comes its way. The only things the Hellcat has over it is marginally better view range, better acceleration in a straight line, and a stupidly high-pen gold round. The Jagdpanzer can be just as versatile, if not more so since it has a far smaller profile, better DPM, better gun handling, better agility, and armor that can bounce the occasional shot. People tend to get memorized by the turret the Hellcat has, but it doesn't compensate for being worse than the Jagdpanzer in so many other statistical measurements. It might be the more noob friendly choice since it has a tier 8 shell as its gold round and a turret (a lot of people don't know how to drive turret-less tanks), but you can be way more aggressive in the JP, especially against lower tiered opponents where the armor can bounce shots, which is something the Hellcat can't do at any tier. You also won't suffer as much from artillery since you're not open topped. It's far from a hands down win for the Hellcat.

@@DovahFett The difference in gun handling on paper doesn't matter in practice, because you don't need to move the hull of the hellcat to track a target and its longer reload means its dispersion after firing is a non-issue. You're right that the DPM's better, and the jagd needs it with worst in class penetration. In practice it bounces pretty often, a problem made worse by the even weaker shell velocity. It can only make its DPM work when opponents are obliging enough to sit still in the open. As far as mobility's concerned, the hellcat has a massive top speed advantage, much better power-to-weight and the ability to actually work a ridge line with useable gun depression. Take it into a practice room and check, the hellcat overtakes the jagd in seconds and not only relocates faster, but to more useable locations. Add to that 30 more view range, meaning the hellcat can actually spot for itself, and it's very hard to recommend the jagd. As far as the armour's concerned, I bounce about as much off hellcat gun mantlets as I do off jagdpanzer hulls, which is to say not often. Neither has armour in any significant sense unless you're in a bt-7. The long and short is, the stats on paper are misleading. In a vacuum they look very competitive, but in an actual game context the jagd has a lot working against it that the hellcat doesn't. Unless we're talking about dunking on tier fours, it really is no contest.

@@Eon2641 I wasn't just talking about the accuracy during hull movement, the Hellcat has horrid accuracy during turret traverse. You basically have to re-aim the gun from scratch, which wipes out any advantage it gets from the turret in the first place. Even slight movements will throw it off. Saying that the longer reload is a non-issue because it increases accuracy is backwards logic. By that same measure the FV4005 and JP E 100 must be some of the most accurate tanks of their tier, except that they aren't. They are in fact some of the least accurate because of horrible gun handling, just like the Hellcat. The Jagdpanzer on the other hand has a much shorter reload AND better accuracy. Its effective DPM advantage is even higher than the 700 and something I mentioned previously because it won't miss nearly as many shots as the Hellcat, and even if some do bounce, another one will be down range and on target in less than 5 seconds. I'd also argue that the Jagdpanzer has better mobility as well because unlike the Hellcat it can turn quickly on any terrain, which more importantly means that it can turn quickly to face targets. The Hellcat is literally too fast for its own good. The turret cannot keep up with hull, and the aforementioned gun bloom means you'll have to come to a complete stop and wait some 3 seconds (2.46 base plus the modifiers for hull and turret movement) before you can even fire your gun. Also concerning mobility, the Jagdpanzer's power-to-weight ratio 0f 17.8 is perfectly serviceable, especially considering that it has better terrain resistance stats than the Hellcat meaning that it won't bleed as much speed. The Hellcat's effective hp/t is actually only 16.9 because of it's terrain resistance on medium terrtain (grass), which is by far the most common terrain type in the game. If it weren't for the Jagdpanzer being capped at 40 km/h it'd actually overtake the Hellcat. Furthermore, the Hellcat only has 20 more meters of view range than the Jagdpanzer, which isn't that big of a difference when you take into consideration that it's tier six and the there are still tanks running around with less than 330 meters of view range. Binocs alone will raise that well past the limit of 425 meters, and if you don't like sitting still for that you can just as easily equip food and coated optics. The JP also doesn't trade a giant profile and open top turret for that extra view range, and since the JP has better camo and is a smaller target it can afford to be closer to hostiles before endangering itself. If a Hellcat gets spotted and literally anyone is paying attention (because anyone can hurt it) it's done for. The JP at least has a chance to escape since it can easily disappear over ridges and behind piles of rubble. And the armor is meaningful. If we were at tier 7 or 8 you'd be right, but at 6 or below the JP can bounce shots off of its hull, and as it turns quickly you can actually angle it right before the enemy fires which can raise the upper plate to about 130 mm, which will reliably bounce most tier 5s and down. The Hellcat can literally only bounce using its gun mantlet, and if you're ever in a situation where the enemy is shooting at you, even if it's just the turret, you're in for a world of trouble because artillery is going to be dropping rounds on you as soon as they see you. What comes then? Dead crew members and dead modules because you have no armor and no crew protection. Being able to use that little bit of gun depression and turret armor is only a benefit in fringe cases, as if you've gotten to that point it means you're out of position and not in a bush where it is safest. 9/10 if you've been spotted and the enemy notices it's only a matter of time before you're dead. Same goes for the JP, but the difference is that the JP won't get maimed (if not killed) by a single shot from artillery or a tier 4 spamming HE because he hasn't figured out ammunition types yet. It has some chance of escaping or getting another shot off before it kicks it. The Hellcat has almost none. Overall the JP is by far the more versatile tank. The Hellcat is a vehicle of extremes, and that makes it a quick trip to the garage for those that don't understand how to play it. Things like mobility and gun traverse angles are almost completely undermined by the soft stats, which are the ONLY things that matter since they decide how the vehicle performs, everything else is just your personal experiences and your memories of the vehicle, which are going to be cherry-picked as they are subject to your own perceptions and personal biases. You're going to remember the really great matches and you're going to remember the really bad ones. You are far less likely to recall the average ones, and those are what matter the most as the extremes are inherently driven by RNG and luck over anything else. If they weren't you'd have great matches every match.

I always hear people talk about how good the Super Hellcat is and don’t hear as much about the Hellcat, but when you compare the Hellcat and Super Hellcat specs on paper, the Hellcat seems like a much better tank for tier 6 compared to the Super Hellcat in tier 7. The difference between the 2 tanks is like many tier 9 and 10 tanks in the same tech tree line, where the tier 9 has nearly the same specs. The Hellcat and Super Hellcat have the same alpha, dispersion, aim time, shell velocity, gun traverse, top speed, and armor. And the Hellcat only has 6% less DPM, 0.8 lower power to weight ratio, 110 less DPM, and 7 less penetration. The Hellcat actually has a little better camo. The only fairly large advantages for the Super Hellcat are it’s reverse speed of 20 vs. only 12 for the Hellcat, and the Super Hellcat has lower dispersion penalties while moving and traversing the tank and turret. And of course, the Super Hellcat has more HP (800 vs. 640). All in all, I don’t think the Super Hellcat has enough advantages over the Hellcat, considering the Super Hellcat has to play against tier 5 thru 9 tanks and the Hellcat gets to play against tier 4 thru 8 tanks.

I was playing with this beauty in a hard level, i loved it for 50 battles and got 75%on moe. It is a really good sniper snitzel bush wanker tank with that amazing speed. It only has a problem with the shell velocity. But it is a really good tank for statpadding i think. I am grinding the e4line so i chose the hellcat instead of jgpz.

While it is not as strong, back then it was simply OP. Hellcat was by far the most powerful Tier VI, better than the KV-1S which was already decimating anything on its path. The speed, camo, and gun handling made that TD a true terror to fight. It was as fast, nimble and invisible as a light tank with the gun and HP of a TD.

It's still great one of my favourite tanks to play. I prefer tier VI Hellcat over Super Hellcat because Hellcat has 243mm of APCR pen. Super Hellcat at tier VII only has 210. But Super Hellcat is also very fun tank at tier VII.

@@DovahFett so basically the hellcat has everything that matters over the jpz? Mobility, flexibility, a turret, view range and alpha? Dont get what youre trying to defend there. Sure the Jp has higher dpm, it has to cause of not having a turret. Dispersion while moving doesnt matter if it has no turret cause it has to turn its hull constantly which the hellcat dont so im sure youll get your shots off far better with the hellcat and you can actually play on maps that arent a huge flat open field with bushes. Jp is only better if youre a redline camping tomato.

If we were at tier 7 or 8 you'd be right, but at 6 or below the JP can bounce shots off of its hull, and as it turns quickly you can actually angle it right before the enemy fires which can raise the upper plate to about 130 mm, which will reliably bounce most tier 5s and down. The Hellcat can literally only bounce using its gun mantlet, and if you're ever in a situation where the enemy is shooting at you, even if it's just the turret, you're in for a world of trouble because artillery is going to be dropping rounds on you as soon as they see you. What comes then? Dead crew members and dead modules because you have no armor and no crew protection. Being able to use that little bit of gun depression and turret armor is only a benefit in fringe cases, as if you've gotten to that point it means you're out of position and not in a bush where it is safest. 9/10 if you've been spotted and the enemy notices it's only a matter of time before you're dead. Same goes for the JP, but the difference is that the JP won't get maimed (if not killed) by a single shot from artillery or a tier 4 spamming HE because he hasn't figured out ammunition types yet. It has some chance of escaping or getting another shot off before it kicks it. The Hellcat has almost none. Overall the JP is by far the more versatile tank. The Hellcat is a vehicle of extremes, and that makes it a quick trip to the garage for those that don't understand how to play it. Things like mobility and gun traverse angles are almost completely undermined by the soft stats, which are the ONLY things that matter since they decide how the vehicle performs, everything else is just your personal experiences and your memories of the vehicle, which are going to be cherry-picked as they are subject to your own perceptions and personal biases. You're going to remember the really great matches and you're going to remember the really bad ones. You are far less likely to recall the average ones, and those are what matter the most as the extremes are inherently driven by RNG and luck over anything else. If they weren't you'd have great matches every match."
