Of all the Dyson videos, absolutely waiting for Venue’s. It’s only hoop analysis and film breakdown; nothing else. Only on the court activity. He’s going to be 1st-Team All Defense for years; his mentality is incredible to see at such a young age. Love the DB comparison in football; he really reminds of a Jessie Bates type (FS for my Atlanta Falcons). Certain safeties have a knack to always be around the football and are allowed to take risks that every player just can’t take & guess right most of the time. Always appearing to be around the ball when they had no business being on that side of the field and causing havoc while doing it. Dyson is special man.

Meanwhile NBA youtube comments are filled with: Nobody plays defence anymore!! Great video brother, thank you!
@AaronStark1993Ай бұрын
Those comments are not far at all from the truth though. There's only a handful of players in the league right now that play real deal defense. The current style of play, league rules and refereeing style is pretty much entirely catered towards allowing players to score at will on the offensive end of the floor.
@TulioMCanoАй бұрын
@@AaronStark1993 I would say it used to be like that, i have seen a lot of bumps that would be called fouls last year not being called this year. Specially in NBA Cup games
@ParamoreFAV3Ай бұрын
Thank you. Every team literally has at least 1-2 great wing defenders; that wouldn’t be possible if no one played defense. It’s absolutely catered to offenses now.
@ParamoreFAV3Ай бұрын
@@AaronStark1993completely disagree. The league catering to offenses has nothing to do with the fact that every team has guys who can play great defense; it’s not seen because the way the game is catered now.

I hope this version of the hawks can make some noise in the playoffs or hopefully they get another good player or draft pick. I want to see Trae go on another run with this team. 2021 was an awesome run, even with the whole sixers explosion. And I'm saying this as a Bucks fan too. I just want to see this team do something because they are actually a fun team to watch. I am also saying this as a Bucks fan (fire doc rivers)

I always knew he had a lot of potential but this is absurd he’s never out of position his balance is ridiculous he’s big enough to play secondary rim protection he holds up in the post and his offense is improving this guy has potential to be a kawhi type player super lengthy and versatile defender with shaky offense at times

Man Hawks is lucky to have him and Jalen Johnson as their core those two are really talented and versatile player fit really well in modern day basketball. Maybe he is the best wing defender right now ?! Smart great instincts have length and hip mobility to stay in front of opponents that’s everything you can ask for Also I believe he is a pretty helpful offensive player too.

Waaay more impressive to do that in this era than in the late 80’s ! Who was MJ’s best opponents (Guards or wing) ? Magic ? Isaiah Thomas ? Dominique Wilkins ? Larry Bird ? These were the most skilled perimeter players back then lol, in term of ball handling even Jordan Poole and Clarkson are 10x better, let alone the best of the best like Kyrie, Curry, SGA, Doncic, Mitchell, Ja, Fox, ANT, Brunson, Dame, Tyrese Maxey and Haliburton, Garland… And that’s just the guards, because we live in the position less basketball era, he can be switched on to guys over 6’6 230, and these guys can handle the ball, 7ft guys like KD, Giannis, Jokic, AD, Embiid, Wemby or Chet, 250 pounds wings like Bron, Banchero, Zion, Randle .. Or tall athletic wings like Tatum, PG, Ingram, Siakam, Derozan, Brandon Miller, J.Brown, J.Dub, Zach Lavine ect .. Dyson would average 5+ steals, 10+ deflections and close to 2 block per game if he played in the late 80’s …Even MJ himself would struggle against him

Ehhhh thats debatable, and even the 2 min report says it wasn't. There have been plenty of 2min reports where they got it wrong. he is so unlucky that he has this season in the wemby dpoy era, wemby is and will be the best and most impactfull defensive player as long as he is healthy and on the floor, daniels comes in close, if he had this season last season he would've been dpoy
@leonardo_mrllАй бұрын
wemby still has more impact because teams play on the opposide side of wemby to not face him and he still imoacts heavily, opponente shoot a lowest in the league 29% against him Witch Is absurd to say the least espetially if you consider that san Antonio isn't that good on perimeter defense , meaning he's usually late contesting shots. and that stat Is even not true since a TON of possession end with a chuck up 3 at the end of the shot clock because even with 3 feet of space (would be considered open) players are scared to attempts layups or mid ranges. D Daniels tho Is making his point but last season we didn't give the award tò wemby because we all know that he would win many, can't think like that every season or he'll end up with less dpoy than Rudy and that would get on my nerves badly
