Like they dont even know manual shifting exists lol. Not to mention launching a 700hp RWD car without spinning, even from a roll. That takes some skill whether its manual or auto. You forget just how many retards go to the dealer wanting a fast car with zero clue how to optimize it.

Definitely a tight race. Doing 40s is a big advantage for Hellcat on a tire, ZLE spun almost every run it sounds like. Would like to see a 55-60 👌🏻

Great quick video and races. Really admire the current cars like GT500, Hellcats, and ZL1s. Perfect trio there depending on what you want. I have a 2019 10-speed ZL1, with a few modifications about 700 hp and is the perfect street, track, highway, and even touring car. Got a deal on it as well 62,500 in 2019 with all the options except navigation (I just use my phone). The PDR in car is good for recording on the steet/track, and the carbon fiber hood package is a nice touch. On the upper end, this car can hit high 10s and run trap speeds of approx. 130 mph stock. There are vids on youtube in ideal conditions hitting these numbers.

@@user-dr4iu8mg5u theres a whole list of reasons why either car would lose. It really comes down to the driver that knows their car the best. 1) Driver error, even in an auto is real. Can't just mash the gas on a 700hp car. 2) Knowing which gear to start in really helps your times. A lot of people are dumb enough to floor it at 2k rpm in automatic mode, and they wonder why they lose. Also, knowing your sweet spots. Every car has a certain MPH that gives a big advantage. Use it. 3) Driver weight. 140lb drivers help, although theres only so much you can do in that department lol. 4) Trim models. The 1LE package has a lot of downforce for track use. That really kills it past 100mph. Same thing for the widebody version of the Hellcat. It's objectively worse in every way cuz it's heavier. People just like the look. Buy 305 summer tires on a base Hellcat and ur good to go. 5) Settings in the infotainment system. Both cars have drive settings and suspension settings. They actually make a huge difference, and utilizing them wins races. You wont win races in touring mode. 6) Good ol' power to weight ratio. Some races are unwinnable no matter what.

I own a Hellcat with Mickeys on it. Love it. I drove the ZL1 (not 1LE) before I bought the Cat. It was an awesome car. I ordered a new Cat but am having second thoughts as a new ZL1 1LE is 30k less. I will end up with a ZL1 one of these days. From a dig, stock to stock, I think the ZL1 wins. Way better traction with the ZL1 platform. Can't beat that Cat whine though

C5R timing chain, katech valley cover, high side fuel pump, LT4 injectors, magnuson tvs 2650 supercharger, nick williams 103 mm throttle body, roto fab cold air intake, either kooks, or American racing long tube headers with high flow cats, and a corsa cat back with x pipe. Whew, that's alot. lol Gotta save some dough, or tap into the 401k.

The ZL1 is definitely faster than a ZL1 1LE cause of the weight differential I had both and I actually enjoying driving a regular ZL1 more as the 1LE is way more stiff and not that enjoyable on the road. But the 1LE on the track is definitely amazing!

It’s downforce not weight. The 1le is lighter, has a different and adjustable suspension, and is built for the track hence why around the track is faster than the hellcat (obviously) and gt500. Definitely my favorite muscle car out of the big three

Appreciate you posting this great race. Hellcat started to pull back at top end. Maybe the wing on the camaro caused it. I’m a Chevy guy but have had some srt stuff. Don't forget the alignment on the 1LE is set for track use not drag racing. It has more camber which means less of a contact patch on the road. Also a better street tire compound. The 1LE compound takes forever to get heat in them. But either way that was great racing for both cars.
