It can actually kill Factory Striders, first pop the miniguns with a few shots each, then get below it and shoot the hatch. The trouble of course is doing all that while other things (like the devastators it spawned) are shooting at you.

Even being able to shoot out the mini guns (3 shots each) is big as it will allow your team mates to get in closer safely

The other weakspot is the lil red dot in it's face, you can shot that too.

@drussoflegend2547 it's true, but in my experience it's easier to shoot the miniguns and then go underneath it and shoot the belly. Good tip nonetheless

I’ve often been able to skip the mini gun step and come in from the side or out of cover when the strider is focusing on someone else. I usually throw a stun grenade under it, to stop whatever else is there from getting me, and then dump rounds into the trap (I do this with autocannon though).

I honestly can’t imagine going through an Automaton mission without an AMR, Autocannon, Laser Cannon, or a Quasar Cannon

the laser cannon kicks ass can act almost as your primary so you can pack something like the incendiary, esp on cold maps. i love that thing

For me it takes way too long to kill enemies, I would just rather use something like the autocannon

Btw i find that AMR not only can deal with factory striders, but it's actually one of the best weapons to kill them in few seconds

Started really using it today and fell in love with it. Can run automaton Helldive difficulty with it, and it’s comfy and solves a lot of my problems. I never would have guessed how versatile the thing is!

This is my go to for automatons. Great for long range teammate support. And the sound design is magnificent. Mag dumping the back of a tank really activates my neurons.

Any armor with fortified makes use of faster concise shots much easier especially at range

Interesting tip: Although you cannot kill Dropships with an AMR in the air, you can actually destroy the parked Dropships in the destroy missions by shooting its engines. It takes around 7 to 8 rounds. If you don’t want to waste an eagle or orbital on it, It’s faster than using a hellbomb and you can do it from a distance.

Isnt the "eye slit" of the factory strider a potential weakspot for the AMR to use? It certainly works with the laser cannon, and that also just penetrates medium armor.

It definitely is, along with the top vents (they extend upwards when about to make a batch of Devastators), bottom hatch, the inside knees (gotta blow off the knee covers first), the internals (exposed when the side panels are blown off) and the rear vent All those spots are weak to medium armour penetrating weapons, it's just that the AMR may not be very ammo efficient compared to a Laser Cannon or Autocannon

I'm not 100% sure if this works for the AMR but the factory strider does have a single eye on the front of its head to the left above where the mini guns sit. Would that be considered a weak spot? I hit that spot all the time with the autocannon

It's a weakspot with light vehicle armor. Ac, amr, hmg, laser cannon all have that level of armor piercing

Factory striders have multiple weak spots. I think with using the AMR you would most likely have to take down those machine guns under its chin, and the cannon on its back with orbitals or shots from behind. You can target the joints, or the belly when you're up close but from afar with the AMR you can just shoot out its single eye.

You can kill factory striders by getting underneath it and noscope spamming a couple of mags into its belly

Actually, factory strider has a weakspot in his "eye" but the amount of shots it takes to kill him like that is massive

AMR is quite good against striders tbh, just a little worse than the autocannon. Just have to shoot belly or the eye slit

You can also mag dump Breaker Incendiary against brood commanders. The hive guards and spewers are better targets for the AMR in my opinion. Chargers and Bile Titans, KG and Precision will do the trick (or just dont bother, run away).

It dont suffer with Factory Striders my dude. Drop eagles if there are devastors under it. 3 shot each gatling chin guns. Run under, unload an entire clip + 2rounds to the belly Bile titans are a bitch or they bugged, coz they bleed out. Chargers, are tricky and stupid how their weakspot is their hind femur.

We shouldn't talk about what is one of three viable, wide scope support weapons left in the game if we don't want to see it nerfed like all the rest. This gun deserves an ammo capacity buff but is probably going to get damage or AP nerf soon.

Nah, they'd spare the damage of AMR. But look out for a magazine and recoil nerf. Good luck using this with 2 mags and 3 bullets each, with unconfigurable camera shake effects.

I disagree about factory strider tho Rifle can shoot down machine guns on its head (couple of shots to destroy) plus if you get close and shoot its drop hangar in the belly -it takes damage and can be destroyed in 2 mags. I was able to kill strider solo with 2 scorcher mags by shooting the hangar and same with AMR
