This. I've looked back over my shoulder at approx 1000 basic Orbital Strikes now. It's not getting old. Whether it's a Charger, a fresh bug hole or even just 1 little bug taking the full payload of the strike, it's immensely satisfying to watch. When you've got 4x orbital/eagle strikes landing, a variety of them, the level of destruction is just jaw dropping every time lol

4:02 - Diving on top of an enemy tank, using it as cover to shoot at enemy ground forces, dropping an orbital strike marker, dive off from the tank, run away, and (technically) not look at the explosion. That's some grade-A heroic movie moment.

IMO what made this game awesome is that they made the fundamental gameplay loop polished and addictive. The major problems of the game lie in technical issues with can be ironed out.

It's amazing how they've designed it to gradually introduce each player with new enemies, tactics, and devices without having to spell it out or hold your hand. It's the most thoughtful well conceived complexity curve I've seen. I've seen it literally train better gamers out of types who are atypical for action shooters.

For me.. the sound effects of this game absolutely outstanding. The weighty "THUNK" of supply pods or Sentry pods hitting the ground, the warpy sound of the orbital precision strike entering the atmosphere, and of course the Megabomb. Just really polished. Compare that to the cap gun effects of CoD
