Now that we've all got a closer look at the New Chemical Agent Warbond, I'm going to ask the same question from last time when it was announced: Is it a PASS (NO) or GAS (YES)? For me, I like it and got it because of the stem pistol. The gas needs a buff it's not as strong as other weapons. So i believe it's best to alternate between the sterilizer and your primary. Apply posion/confused then swap to main.

Oh yeah! The armor is not only cool-looking but also has some nice resistance to gas. For me, it was not just the armor but also the Stim pistol that mainly attracted me to the Warbond. I finally have a med load out and I'm happy.

I had my "go to strats" for certain missions, but with the major patch I feel comfortable mixing up strats with others instead of me sticking to a "Solo build" (which is why I typically roamed before). Also, I'm extremely happy I can headshot a Bile with a quasar cannon now.

GAS, no use at all in diffculty 10 except the gas nade. In high diffculty mission, allow enemies to get into flamethrower range is already half way into death, both bugs and bots. And this sterilizer does not have the same DPS of a flamer, ranged enemies like heavy devastators and bile spewers can still turn players into pieces outside of the spray range.

I feel it needs to cause much more of the kill each other effect on bugs. It just doesn't have enough of a use compared to straight damage dealing weapons. Make it more unique with the confusion effect/kill each other, give it the ability to debuff armor values, last longer in the air/ground like true mustard gas, increase the range of the sterilizer and make the dogs breath sweep across more enemies reliably.

I think the gas needs to stay in the air longer. Right now its like a flamethrower. If they could make it where you are basically laying down a smoke screen of poison gas that hangs in the air for a while, now THAT would be much cooler and I would totally use it.

Honestly I’d say it’s good versus both. When a bug breach happens just call down orbital gas, start spraying, and occasionally throw a gas made. I’ve been balls deep in a bug breach before and killed everything myself without taking any damage.

As I mentioned in the video, the damage alone might not be enough, so combining it with another weapon while the bugs are already being affected by the gas creates a great combo. Not so good on charges alone. However, for bots, you can apply the gas directly, and it will inflict substantial damage, especially on Hulks. It overall it's great against Bots but can be effective against Bugs but again depends on how you use it.

All you need to know about the stim pistol that I have tested l: As far as I can tell it fixes percentage based amount of health. It is affected by medic armor you (the pistol wielder) are wearing (not the target as far as we could test). 30% hp per shot for no medic armor, 50% hp with medic armor, or around that. 3-4 and 6-7 second duration, hard to say, without and with medic armor respectfully. Since it's % based, vitality booster increases the amount of health restored. Viper commando booster IS affecting the stim pistol, you do get its buffs when someone brings this booster. Personal shield prevents you from being stim pistoled. It does restore limbs and bleedings. Successive shots stack. If you shoot someone at full health and they take damage a few seconds after, it will heal them. It restores stamina to full from 1 shot. Enemies are unaffected. 24 reserve shots, 6 in magazine, single action only revolver basically. Does have speedloader on empty reloads. Darts drop heavily and are hard to aim at large distances, "sights" are pretty lacking if you can even call them sights. It restores 18 rounds on resupply crate/backpack. 9 rounds per ammo crate.

I have a stratagem idea for the gas. A 'dirty' bomb orbital. A single orbital drop that acts like a bio weapon in a gigantic radius, but not too broken. That will engulf the area with green gas. Make it cinematic looking. Maybe make the enemies attack each other for a few seconds. Giant raid can

We need a squad of divers to go in all with viper commando armor and stim pistols and punch every enemy to death while stimming eachother, the ultimate challenge in martial arts and teamplay. Edit: A good build idea for bugs would be the gas drone with a flamethrower. Stunning chargers letting you kill them without using stun grenades, as well as stunning hordes, which keeps them in the flames and helps with the flamethrowers biggest weakness, being dogpiled while using it.

I was up early and bought it when it came out, not a big fan really. Same range as a flame thrower which will just melt everything instead of very low TTK + confusion. it's not meant for that. if you want to kill the Hive Guards in 1 shot, use the newly re-buffed Eruptor. that shrapnel is monstrous and makes them die in 1 hit.

Id love to see the tox throwers get buffed in a non damaging way, making it the ultimate team support tool. Making the effect last longer to combo with your other weapons and other team weapons, and longer range to give it a more interesting niche. Maybe drifting chargers a bit more drastically off course and flinching bile titans if your crazy enough to get that close (maybe it could accidentally smash the bugs underneath itself)

Been using the chem thrower all morning on bugs and it pairs super well with the Torcher. Quickly spray fire as the enemy approaches and chem them over the fire as they fight. Or do it the other way. Either really woks. You're not killing the chargers outright with it, but a confused charger turns and runs nearly randomly. I've just shot its butt out with the Torcher super quick while t's confused. Not optimal, but I think the weapon shines as a actual support weapon. Substantial amounts of CC to pair with any follow up. It gets stronger the more teammates are around to instantly followup. And alternatively looses effectiveness against small groups of enemies. Like a single brood commander who's only target when confused is you.

The sterilizer is actually a fantastic weapon. While it's damage is low, it's ability to slow and blind enemies cannot be ignored. I was playing with my friend, he had the sterilizer while i brought the flamethrower. Let me tell you, those two weapons alone work so well together that we were practically untouchable throughout our session.

Its nice now we have not only a warbond that's better towards the bots, but I also like how fire and gas are fitting neatly into a preferred front to the war. Fire torches the bugs but can now do some work towards the bots, and gas confuses the bots to no end so they can't shoot straight, but still chokes the bugs out.

I think the sterilizer might be handy in solo Eradicate missions for the Automatons because you can control a huge crowd of them even if they're hulks and machine gun devastators. They'll get confused and attack each other when stuck so close together

I think one of the reasons it's more effective against the bots is that with the bugs there's a LOT of them and they spread out. Fire works real well against them because if you burn the ground it creates a constant AOE, but the gas weapons don't seem to leave their AOE around quite as long. Because of all this, the gas stuff doesn't affect them quite as much because they're all spread out and don't all get in the areas during the effect unless they're coming right out of a bug hole or breach into it. Bots on the other hand tend to bunch up a bit and aren't quite as numerous, thus gas attacks can hit an entire group of bots more easily than it can the bugs. As well as that, since the bots are ranged attackers the disorientation throws of their aim and nullifies them more while bugs will still be moving about and swiping.

had a Blitz mission earlier that was going well. decided to test out the buffed Eman mech because why not? we were holding off bugs at the extraction point and a squad mate called in 110 rocket pods after i had just killed a Charger, Bile Titan, and two Impalers in quick succsession with the mech. and for some reason, the rockets targeted me while i was inside my mech. didn't know i was such a big threat. lol.

The changes made to gas in the big patch made it so that gas is its own thing, not just green fire. The Sterilizer isn't for solo players and gas in general is now meant to slow down and soften up targets so that you or your teammates can hit them hard with a follow up. Once again, gas is not meant to outright kill enemies, not anymore, it's for disrupting groups of enemies. It's a combination of smoke and EMP. While maybe not the best implementation of it, the war bond is a step in providing a more support based role in team play. Think of it paving the way for a full medic based war bond in the future.

I see this as a full support warbond and a really broken one if you ask me. But you'll have to run with teammates who go guns blazing. You focus on crowd controlling the horde and others would just mow them down, while you keep everyone alive.

Actually a W Warbond. The gas adds an extra layer of crowd control. Miss the Gass stuff with Ems stuff, and you'll be Gassing bugs in no time (ems strike and gas striek on a titan is Funky. Definitely a Support role. (the vibe of this whole warbond as to not be busted but to give a decent assist) but a nice variety. i hope they add more Gass weapons and a Fire Rover. (we need that and a Laser mech)

Trying to be a support role in HD2 doesn't work so well when playing with randoms. I can't count on these guys(returning inexperienced players especially) to kill the enemies I'm impotently spraying with mace. I could literally just bring something that will actually kill them and it would be quicker and much more efficient.

If you go to the super store there’s a heavy armor variant and it completely negates the damage you would take in the gas. Dropping the orbital gas on yourself has actually saved my life so I recommend trying out the armor

Considering everything I've unlocked thus far, I love the Gas Grenades and would rather run around with armor with the engineer passive, especially if i also equip the Orbital Gas Strike. Both of those have allowed me to rack up tons of kills while significantly reducing my number of deaths. I tend to play an all-arounder who uses the rebuffed Eruptor with some kind of pistol, and jet pack for mobility. Finding the gas grenades to be able to get the hordes off my ass when i would be overwhelmed is most helpful and gave me some of my biggest kill counts on the bots while playing in a team. Those four missions were the funnest chaos I've ever played in, and the fact that it was bots makes it all that much better. just to be clear, I would not ever use it alone to directly kill enemies. It's not intended for that. it's nice when it does kill them, but I won't rely on the gas to do that.

The heavy gas armor in the shop allows you to take 0 damage from all gas sources. Its pretty sick just standing in a gas strike while spraying gas and throwing gas grenades all you gotta do is dodge confused bugs.

The game is in a much better state, you are powerful, but also weak, a glass cannon, and to be honest, the game is just a lot more fun than before. Give it a try, it's worth it! (Came back after the huge patch, it's amazing now)

They just had a MASSIVE buff patch 2 days ago and player counts have gone from around 15k to 75k. This buff patch is one of the biggest I’ve even seen in gaming. It will take forever to go over all of them, but here is an example. Thermite Grenades (unanimously agreed to be the worse grenade) got buffed from 100 to… TWO THOUSAND DAMAGE. It’s incredible now and that’s one of the un noteworthy changes.

@1.21jiggawatts2 The Emancipator is now a deadly powerhouse, like legit, you can take down Hulks, Bile Titans, Impaler, and Factory Strider with little effort, this is a must try if you never gave a chance to this beast.

You can cover a LOT of bases with these new items & buffs. I’m looking to use; the Eruptor, Crisper, Thermite, Dog Breath Drone & either the MG-43 (For Bugs) or MG-206 (For Bots). Got a Grenade Rifle, Flamer Pistol, AT Nade, Poison Drone, & Bullets. Then a choice of a couple stratagems. I’ll probably end up using Autocannon & Rocket Sentries for more automation.

I actually think the sterilizer more effective in bugs in terms of kill counts but the gas grenade is good in both bots and bugs it is effectively a stun grenade that does damage

I think this war bond is great..I don’t think it was meant to be another damage dealer since we just got a crap ton of new buffed damage weapons..plus we have fire, and fire has its own identity. This makes the gas unique and will definitely allow some divers to make their own build. I say A+ for the war bond

Now would be a good time for them to add armor passives to helmets since this load out would be sick with the ground breaker armor since they already have the gas mask and everything

I really like the warbound…playing a bit with some toxic chemicals and all that. However the gas-attacks could be just a bit more fun, besides the low damage, if they had kind of a feature like, when the bugs are hit with the causic stuff, that individual can no longer call reinforcements or something like that. I think this would boost the weapons just enough without again increasing damage to the moon

The gas isn't meant to kill. it's used to weaken units. It has the acid effect

I believe i said it before on one of your pervious vids but im interested in the new guard dog because i want to see how it can support me when im scoped in with my BUFFED marksmen rifles and/or AMR❤ but definitely looking forward to trying the stim pistol but i hope i remember to swap of the revolver as I've been having that iron glued to my hip since the game first launched, still happy they gave it the speed loader gimmick.

Honestly my only complaint here is that I personally believe the armor passive should grant 100% dmg reduction to gases, unless they add a gas enemy in the future

Why is everyone complaining about the gas weapons DPS and Kill ability? they are crowd control items. meant to confuse and DEBUFF the Armor of them. They are Caustic.. Use Dog Breath with Flame thrower or the Caustic Thrower with Rover back pack.. These combos are insane.

because flamethrower instakills them. if you already need 2 stratagems to do the same thing that 1 stratagem does then its pretty much worse in all aspects. its like why let the charger get distracted when you can just whip out the flamethrower and instakill it instead of having to wait for your team. "its crowd control" yea so is the flamethrower. i was extremely excited for this warbond but the more i look at it its just not good.

i saw your comment and went into a lvl 7 to test it with the gas thrower+granade gas and the hover dog, 500kg and laser for heavies, i got 387 kills doing breaches easily i'd say if your team has a good heavy killing build and you pair with them you can basically do anything without breaking a sweat in super helldive

I don't mind that the gas stuff does less damage than fire since it's more CC focused. However I think the effect needs to last and linger a lot longer

I was really hoping for some kind of acid weapons instead of all gas. I think leaving a damaging pool on the ground would be a cool effect. Like a minefield that dissipates over a few minutes. And how cool would an ACID missile be?

now that i think about, it kinda makes sense that the gas is better against bots as bots dont adapt as fast terminds as terminids can basically adapt against chemicals. while flamethrower is the complete opposite. bots are made of metal with high melting point so are stronger against flames while terminds can't really adapt to flames. lore wise, it kinda makes sense

Personally I would've liked the Dog Breath and Sterilizer to shoot gas grenades instead of just gas, why get up close just to do confusion when someone else is just going to kill the target from a distance.

Caution: make sure you don‘t accidentally switch your primary when trying to stim someone with the pistol. Especially when you run erruptor or crossbow. Don’t ask me how I know. Also you can’t stim teammates that are wearing the shield generator backpack.

I acutely have a build in mind for this war bond I call it "mad scientist" orbital gas, orbital EMS, dog breath, arc thrower, primary either flamethrower or blitzer then the gas grenade or thermite for killing chargers I havent had the chance to get dogbreth to test it all out my self but I feel like this you can stun and gass most things I think you can stun all but a titan and you cant easy kill chargers and I'm the hentie monster but at least you have ways to take them down as for armor I would say med, fire resistant or gas mainly med or gas resistant so you can camacozy you self with the gass strike or gass grenade if you need to clear things out around you and have the ability to live
