Stalwart + XBow with Peak Phys armor is so much fun, been my main build for a month now. The rest of my loadout differs from yours; again for reference its: Senator, Stuns, Eagle 110s, Orbital Precision, Laser Dog. High mobility, survivability, tons of kills, Thanks for playing it.

Neat! I didn't know that you could get faster shots out with the xbow by anim cancelling. The way I do animation canceling with the Eruptor is pretty similar, but I hold and release Ctrl (stratagem menu) to achieve the same effect. Also, pressing reload once you are down to your last round will cancel the rest of the firing animation and immediately begin the quick reload (remember to reload with 1 shot left in the "chamber"). Happy hunting!

Finally crossbow instead fireshotgun. It makes more sense with stalwart.

For this 1 billion bug mission, Stalwart is my preferred choice due to its mobility, allowing me to reload while running from the hordes. I’ve tried different combinations with the Eruptor and Crossbow, but for me, I’m sticking with the Dominator.

I’ve tried the stalwart and found it’s not a good fit. The MG43 lets me mow all but heavies down. Sure longer reload, but not by much.

Same here I've run crossbow , MG and throwing knives (for chargers) a few times and it's pretty fun. Running crossbow let me switch up my sidearm from grenade too. Weirdly though i do find it easier to shoot out a chargers rear end with stalwart compared to MG, not sure why
