The first 2/3 hours of gameplay in the first game is just “ok, take this gun and go fight the horrors of the galaxy” proceeding to throw you at xenos and it’s just pure chaos, countless team kills and a general sense of ptsd after you completed a mission at level “5” you thought it was perfect for your level(it was not) (you will understand why there’s just 1 to 15 levels of mission difficulty) (you will never recover from this)

In the original game team kills happen often so noone really cares unless you're constantly doing it. On the hardest difficulty missions woth good players it happens a lot less, but even so it takes like 2 seconds to summon reinforcements

@@borkolan821 DRG isnt nearly as co op oriented as this game seems, also stratagems are dope and the gameplay is super unique with the chaotic murder of teammates. Ive played a LOT of DRG and some Helldivers 1, definitely extremely different games.

That's exactly the sad part for me, because we were playing on 1 pc....not everybody has 3 pc's in a household. So sad :( The top view and split screen coop was the selling point for me. Now it's just every ordinary 3rd party shooter😢

@@knight_lautrec_of_carim We forgo the boots and bring the 20mm dual autocannon turret APC for traveling around the map, much more faster progression on the map and the ability to bring any other perk other than snow boots, plus leaving someone with the turret brings insane firepower for out team

If Arrowhead gets this game right, it could be HUGE. My main concern when comparing it to current HD is the visability factor that comes with the 3rd person in HD2-- which means team chat will become a real factor (unless there is a greater range of automatic call outs for creature summons/strategem, and I would think a detailed 'always visable' mini map?). Hopefully not leaning too heavily on team voice chat. The other new aspects of the game sound UNREAL though-- I mean upgrade your ship as well? WTF!

What do you mean automatic callouts for stratagems and creatures? And I disagree about an always visual mini map. I love having to stop to check the map and it makes me rethink strategies if I’m being chased while going to a mission. Also if they combined a pinging system with the existing “Emotes” basically voice lines then I think it can work well. Also I’m EXTREMELY excited for customizing our ships

@@adamallen7070 The callouts are to assist with visability, we can see monsters/strategems in top-down HD but will miss them in this 3rd person HD2--auto callouts would be mega helpful so we don't have to type/speak ourselves. Now, if you don't have an always visual mini-map then when you're looking at your map, you could be easily killed from something behind you, just out of line of sight, but that your character would normally be aware of. Again, we have this in HD already because of top-down, but in 3rd PErson HD2 would be annoying if the player is unaware of something their helldiver would be.

An example for me is Grand Theft Auto. The first game was top down. And the second and subsequent games shifted to third person. Thank goodness the police made a whole lot of noise when they were chasing you!

Thats a valid concern you have ther, didnt think about that, what they could do is like how Darktide did it. All the special enemies have a specific sounds when they spawn, a rattle, a roar, a shittering, I dunno, subtle but recognisable.

Yeah least favorite strategm in the game that and minefields. Super successful run someone places a Gatling turret at extraction and wastes the whole team. Good times

Looking forward to this The first ones so much fun. I loved playing with vehicle tactics. Had the bike for myself, apc for buddies, and then the mech suit for myself for heavy fights and the mega tank thing for friends during heavy fights. Was so damn fun.

@lioneddy It does look fun, just not as much fun as the 1st one. The visibility the overhead camera gave you, you could see about everything that was going on around you. You couldn't really even see what the strafing stratagem was doing, unlike the 1st one.

I feel like the "live gameplay" part is such an over done bit that you might as well go as goofy as possible with it. Like REALLY ham it up, obviously its just the dev team playing it so let them all go 110% self-aware b-movie with it, it'll be much more fun than them faking being average players. But the game itself looks really fun! Me and the buddies are already hyped for it. Hopefully it doesnt have a gross cash shop.

Fare tip to all players if it works like the first game the Turrets will not hold back to fire if there are enemies standing behind you 😂 make sure to dive or go prone or you will end up Swiss cheese. Also looks like lots of the weapons from the first game were kept! I hope the personal shield and DumDum 25mm auto gun stratagems are also kept! Those were my favorite, plus the one time use AT rockets good for dealing with armoured foes quickly

OOF the only way team kills being active is going to work in this game is if you lose a valuable resource or lot's of XP otherwise this game will be toxic AF and fail shortly after launch!! looks cool though and is in my wish list....

I have a feeling that friendly fire will be disabled soon after launch. There is just too much happening and in public games teammates will kill each other left and right which will lead to a ton of complaints. Other than that interesting concept and the game looks good overall.. Although I would prefer a first person view I might give it a go.

im with you on this. 3d allows to be a little more safer as well as the strategy was to keep an eye on your team as well as the enemy in a tight space. I guess it will be frantic enough, but i feel its going to lose a little magic from being a 3d shooter.

I do love that (and please correct me if im incorrect) where you are looking isnt per se where the gun is aimed, it is where the little circle is, just like how the aiming were in the first game.. more or less.
