Jev you unlock strategems with Requisition Slips, the "R" labelled currency, which you get by completing main and side objectives in missions, destroying outposts or bug holes, and extracting without leaving a helldiver behind. As you've gathered, the common, rare, and super rare samples help you buy ship modules which affect your strategem efficiency, accuracy, logistics, etc. Medals are obtained by completing a set of missions in any difficulty. The higher difficulty missions pay out more. Medals are used in the war bond shop to buy equipment, equipment upgrades (squad boosters), weapons, emotes, poses, and super credits. Super credits can also be found in missions; when you see a stash of ammo look for a cave or an opening that is blocked off by a structure. You can blow that structure up and it usually has requisition slips and super credits. Or sometimes when you see those two-person switches to open a vault, they house super credits, special weapons, and supplies. Super credits are strictly used to buy cosmetics and those cosmetics switch out every two to three days, maybe less. On to Ship Modules: The Donation Access License allows you to obtain a support weapon that has full ammo, not necessarily unlocking said weapon. Once you call a light machine gun, you will have one deployed with two extra mags (2/2) not just 1. The Streamlined Request Process affects the Railgun in that it deploys the weapon with full ammo, not half, and so on and so forth. As for strategems for early game, focus on the Eagle Air Strike, a sentry of your choosing, I personally go for the gatling or mortar (autocannon for later games), and maybe an orbital strike of your choosing. Sentries are great for bottleneck positions and for defending an extraction but don't rely on them because they can get overrun easily and a badly placed sentry can cause more harm than good. Avoid air burst oribitals and eagle air burst strikes because those can easily team kill your squad. You'll see once you start playing with people how quickly that can decimate an area and your team. On the note of team killing, avoid the tesla coil and arc thrower special weapon as they 1) are unpredictable in the way the arc travels and 2) cause more team damage than anything else and 3) the tesla coil "sentry" has low range is useless. Support weapons to go for are the light machine gun, recoiless rifle, rail gun, and grenade launcher. The grenade launcher and rail gun is great for solo runs as they can decimate heavier enemies rather quickly, allowing you to focus on the smaller enemies that can easily swarm your position. P.S.: Last video you were wondering how to view your ammo count and how many bullets you have left. If you hold your reload button, you'll be able to see how many rounds your weapon has as well as allowing you to, depending on the weapon, toggle flashlight functionality, set fire mode, set fire rate, scope magnification, and for the rail gun toggle safety modes. The rail gun is usually set to safe mode. Unsafe mode allows you to charge the weapon up more but you run the risk of blowing yourself up with a weapon malfunction when you reach full charge. Also, in the settings you can toggle to remember aim mode and weapons settings but it's hit or miss. I only bring it up because I personally want my rail gun to always be on unsafe mode for maximum damage. Have fun! Hope to see you out in the field. o7

There's a couple ways to destroy the research station, the easiest being the free hellbomb you can call down, the other is with explosive stratagems like orbital strikes and the eagle bombing runs.

For the rogue research facility you have to destroy all the buildings inside. It usually gives you a hellbomb to use.

The matchmaker is based off of the level of the mission, so most people aren't playing the lower tier missions now. Also the railgun is unlocked at lvl 20, but the auto cannon you get at lvl 10 is crazy, and the breaker "shotgun" has crazy range and damage. Love the variety games Jev, thanks for all the laughs

It's not actually servers being at max capacity btw just a pro-tip, it's actually a bug. Restart your game over and over until it lets you in first try, otherwise you'll be seeing "Servers at max capacity" forever if you just sit there and wait. Hope this helps until they fix it!

You can still matchmake if you hit quickplay and wait a bit. If you quickplay and are waiting more than 10 secs hit R to quit matchmaking and try it again. After like 5 times it should start finding a game

I like to creep around my home and act like a bug I don’t know why but I just enjoy doing this. Maybe it’s my way of dealing with stress or something but I just do it about once every week. Generally I’ll carry around goo and creep around in a sort of crouch-walking position making bug noises, then I’ll walk around my house and pick up various different “Helldivers” and put them in my mouth while saying stuff like “I’ll be having that” and laughing maniacally in my bug voice (“Helldivers” can include anything from shit I find on the ground to cutlery or other utensils). The other day I was talking with my neighbours and they mentioned hearing weird noises like what I wrote about and I was just internally screaming the entire conversation. I’m 99% sure they don’t know it’s me but god that 1% chance is seriously weighing on my mind.

okay, hopefully this helps and you see this, to destroy that building in the beginning of the vid you have to use a stratagem, the samples are used for base upgrades and basically makes your stratagems more powerful and better to use, there's different armor types which id suggest looking into, also they recently fixed the matchmaking so there's actual random squads now which is nice. also all shotguns are trash. hope this helps

just a little heads up for the ship modules it doesn't give you the stratagems it just adds effects for them like calls them down quicker, you unlock the different stratagems by just playing the game and leveling up and to get a new difficulty you have to complete both missions in the operation not just one of the missions.

For that lab that you have to destroy it’s a little wierd but the only building you need to destroy is the gray one. Usually a precision orbital or some big explosion but sometimes it will also prompt you a temporary hell bomb stratagem basically a nuke.

Hey Jev, if you hold the reload button it brings up an accurate ammo count, along with options depending on the weapon to change the firing mode from full auto to semi to burst, increase your scope magnification, and turn flashlights on and off. For the light machine guns, you can change the RPM to be higher or lower. If you’re playing on Mouse and Keyboard I also recommend rebinding the stratagem inputs to your arrow keys so you can move while calling things in.

If you haven't done it yet, you may want to look at rebinding some of your keys. For the stratagems, switching then to your arrow keys or something will allow you to keep running around while typing in the code. Keeps you from having to stand still if you are trying to call one in the middle of the chaos.

You have to complete all the missions in the sector you choose to play, you finished 1 of the 2 sectors to get the next difficulty. also if u want randoms to join you, go into a mission, place an SOS beacon, restart ur game, load back up and choose a mission but dont start yet. your ship will begin to fill up with players.

Bit of a weird thing to notice but the chanting of patrolling Automatons has a sick beat Also if you hold R and Right click while using the rail gun you can change it to "Unsafe" mode. You can hold R with every weapon to see how much ammo you have but not all of them have different settings. (Up and down options are scroll wheel)

Jev when u use the Railgun u can turn on the unsafe mode which makes it even crazy stronger. You just have to hold down on whatever your reload button is and change it to unsafe mode. The only thing is if you hold down on the trigger for too long once it’s in unsafe mode, you’ll blow up lolll. Just gotta watch for that

jev, jason, my sweet baby boy. that side mission you were confused about, you basically just had to blow up the buildings with strategems or sometimes it gives you a hell bomb strategem that you can set off. the samples are used to upgrade strategems in your ship menu. when using guns, you can hold R to adjust the settings on them. hope this helped pookiebear.
