take this with a Grain of salt because he's running on a lower difficulty the high you go your FPS is gonna tank regardless of what system you have I'm running basically a similar set up to him and I can drop down in the 60 FPS at 1440p

what cpu are you using? I've played on higher difficulties and haven't seen that bad of a drop

@@BenchmarkBoy 13900k it drops down to 60 to 70 but then it goes straight back up between 95 and 120 depending on what’s happening but this is on difficulty 8 to 10 I don’t know how you’re not dropping including some of the bug planets

@@BenchmarkBoy to be fair with each patch the performance drops a little bit I think it was the March patch I lost about like 30 FPS off that one

yeah you should be ok. Not sure what resolution you're playing. The lower resolutions you may see gpu usage drop a bit similar to me but overall its a game issue and not much you can do about it

7900 XTX gives more fps in 4K, and costs the same or less. Why people keep tell that this game is optimized for nVidia?

Because for a long time it ran terribly on amd cards and it was broken on their official drivers. When the game first came out i got about 50 fps on the 7900 xtx at 4k with crazy stutter

Amd dropped a driver update with patched for this game specifically. Its much better now

Unfortunately due to AMD's past driver issues they've earned themselves a stigma on their GPUSs that would likely not go away for a long time.

No confirmed performance details for the new gpu's yet so its hard to say exactly

You should wait for 6000 series, it will be a lot better than the 5000 series, but if you wait for the 7000 series, it will be better, while you are waiting you should wait for the 8000 series. As an honest opinion, right now the GPUs are being bottle necked by the CPUs. I just picked up a 4080 super, even when the 5000 series comes out, you will be limited by the CPU, it will be a couple generations, before that. Though that's a good problem to have. Obviously, if you play 4k then the bottleneck will be almost non-existent. the 13th and 14th gen 14700 and 14900 CPUs have proven to be unstable, so picking them up wanting to OC is a crap shoot. 15th gen is going to be a revamp which could mean new boards, etc and definitely getting rid of ddr4 entirely and strictly ddr5
