That might actually happen. Lately the automatons seem to be pushing 'north' on the galaxy map. A lot of players think that their inital advance towards Super Earth in the center of the map was a feint to have us focus on liberating those planets before changing direction to their true objective, Cyberstan.

Well, their goal will be to free the planet from Super Earth control. After that.... I think that's about it. Nothing bad would happen aside from Super Earth losing it's slaves and a major loss on materials until being re-liberated. They just want cyberstan and to free their friends really. It's the Terminids who should be worried about, as unlike the Cyborgs and automatons, they have no morals and are just there for the killing unlike the automatons whose goal is to take one planet and fuck off after that. Hell, I think if they take cyberstan they won't be a real threat aside from a small amount of remnants on leftover planets, which they likely wouldn't care too much about which would make those planets free for the taking again. So my theory: Fuck off, give them cyberstan, wait a bit to see what happens, and decide what action to take from there, being to retake cyberstan if they continue their push, or take back the planets they took and leave cyberstan alone.

“Our children, the automaton...” I do believe that this is more of a hint that overall... the cyborgs likely created the automatons in a final attempt to get revenge- or perhaps the automatons were a failsafe... considering the larger majority of the cyborgs were completely wiped out. These machines may not necessarily be former cyborgs, but bots constructed to carry out the will of their extinct people.

I mean looking at the map I could see cyborgs appearing as an enemy faction as well, them from north, iluminids from south. Would be weird having the precursors to automatons though, but cool considering so many never played helldivers 1

The cyborgs are in correction camps in cyberstan, which is still under super earth control. If they do show up, it would probably just be alongside the automatons after they retake cyberstan

Their planet may be inspired by other places that also have “Stan”. For example: Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. 1:07 can’t wait to play as factions for some PVP/PVE action(correction: I forgot to read that they are not implementing PVP) Well…at least none of super-earth is ruled by that damn “space-king”(he is VERY anti-many things, and seems to be very ratchet and crazy)

So the Helldriver basically fighting An animal that bleed oil. Abused Worker. Clueless Alien. (Superearth strike first because they scared of the Illuminate technology and they are also jealous of the Illuminate technology too. Caught completely off guard at first, the Illuminate think very little of Superearth, but as time progress, Superearth was able to replicate Illuminate tech. And because of that, it enable the Helldriver to achieve victory against the Illuminate)

those hounds are why i stopped playing HD1 after only a few hours. That game sucks. In HD2 you have a million ways to get out of danger; in hd1, you have about a 1.5 second window before youre dead and chain death so the mission fails. dogs spawn while reloading? entire mission fail. 1.5 seconds, and nearly every map is slowing terrain. Garbage game. hd2 is much better.
