Because it's not actually Mars. Super-Earth isn't actually earth - it was destroyed hundreds of years ago, and humanity terraformed a planet similar to earth to look like it, leading to the Super-Earth Federation.

Not even close to Mass Effect's theme. I think they kind of clamped their own musics potential by trying to mimic the Mass Effect theme. A fully original theme would probably have been way more impactful, and memorable. This just makes me want to listen to the ME theme.
