Level 94 here, 300 some odd hours in game and I still log in everyday for at least 1 or 2 missions! I just love the game and even after everything that’s happened I feel Arrowhead and all those involved plus just the game itself deserves loyal divers to stick with them and be there for the growth of the game. So much potential and what other game do you see as many loyal people and what other game makes you feel the way this one does! Hang in there folks! Great things are coming!

I tried to maintain this attitude for about 5 weeks, I really did. I finally had to admit I was fooling myself, not enjoying the game that continually got worse and more broken with each patch while dev team is openly stating they don’t have time to test content pushes and prove week after week that their content focus is on quantity over quality. The straw that broke the camel’s back was them blaming the community for the Polar Patriot warbond being mediocre to terrible and telling us that if we wanted a warbond with balanced.tested weapons we wouldn’t get the next one until 2028. AHs words, not mine. I can’t invest any more time in a game whose developers don’t respect the players. I reached my limit at 270 hours. I admire the positivity, but I think I feel a lot closer to the majority of players - so the question is where the player base going to bottom out when only the people with your type of optimism are left?

the 3.14..... number, is the number PI to the like 10th power. so well over 3 billion enemies in 5 days. Also. Lv124 helldiver here with 300 hours in mission time. I try to log in every day and do a few operations because I want to contribute to the MO's even if the game has gotten boring because all of my favorite weapons have gotten nerfed. and even switching up weapons and playstyles, it still gets pretty unenjoyable because so many weapons are just not fun to play with. that said I am looking forward to the new major patch, I hope my eruptor gets buffed back to its original state and that the next warbond is more exciting with better offerings because after whats happened to the last 2 warbonds, if the next one is bad most people are just going to completely ignore any future warbonds.

As an Admirable Admiral, using the 500kg takes a lot of practice. The explosion is more vertical than horizontal. It’s not the best strat for crowd control. However, I’ve been using the orbital gas strike and it’s probably the most underrated strat. I’ve perfected dropping it directly on bug breaches and I get 40+ kills each use.

The 500 kg still just sucks. It's only good for the really big ones like bile titans and I have seen Scavengers walking out off the visual explosion radius, it's ridiculous

You can't blame your brother, he learned in basic training that friendly fire is unavoidable and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Also the number to kill is not random, it's pi x 1bilion, the joke being that we need to kill an infinite number of enemies.

H2 is so far beyond a one patch fix. Next Tuesday will bring a patch that fixes two obscure crashes and a note saying they are still working on the Spear fix and tweaking the spawn patrol changes. The game is nosediving fast.

With the Spear, I love using it against the bots because you can hit bot factories (NOT just the striders) with them. Being able to clear bases from the safety of a distant cliffside is such a satisfying feeling.

I really appreciate your take on the game, and just gaming in general. Most of the HD2 KZbinrs I’ve come across put out like 2 videos a day reading Reddit posts and discord conversations like it’s breaking news or just complain about the game in general with click bait titles and stretch it for 8 minutes to get monetized. I genuinely look forward to hearing you guys talk. I’m a 47 year old game so I definitely relate to Vader. I love the game. I literally bought a PS5 to play it. The AMR jump pack combo is tricky to get used too but since I got used too it I've brought it in nearly every mission with Scout Armor. Being a ghost in a lvl 9 while ur squad is doin the run n gun thing is addicting

The Spear is usable, but you really have to work around it's drawbacks -- which, of course, is not ideal design. After hours of work with it, here are my recommendations to hopefully improve other's experience. The Spear is most effective at disengagement ranges. This is easy when you are approaching a large target before aggroing it, but nearly impossible if you are in medium or less proximity. The lock on functions much more effectively with distance, so disengage and reacquire. Alternatively, if you are stuck in a fight and can't kill the titan or charger that is after you, target a different large enemy that is chasing an ally. While ignoring your problems and helping others with theirs may not be effective for mental health, it's good for Spear uptime and taking pressure off your allies. Bear in mind, long range would work more effectively than medium. Chargers will love you. Just as they favor sentries, I feel like the Spear attacts their attention more than usual, which I think is actually really cool and tactical counter because distracting the Spear user prevents them from operating the weapon. That may not be valid charger targeting behavior, but I spend so much time running from them. Regardless, don't return their love with a missile when they are stampeding at you. Even if you manage to get a lock on, the missile will most likely zip over them because it fires upwards. Approach chargers like everything else, pull with the Spear from long and extreme ranges or use it against chargers chasing your allies at medium or longer ranges. You will still have lock on difficulty at medium range, but you will have a greater chance of locking on because you are not the enemy's target. While it feels bad at first, you can find success by initiate combat from a long distance or retreat from an engagement. 1-3 shoting titans feels very good. The amount of pressure it can take off a fight is immensely rewarding. If all the team's go-to strategies are on cooldown, the Spear can easily bring those targets down. Note: Obviously most of my experience has been with bugs. I haven't had the chance to go back to bots after playing with the Spear for so long. The factory walker is constantly rotating, so it is hard to get a lock on to its dense number of hit location that are constantly moving. I wouldn't even bother trying to lock on to drop ships. It has been great for hulks at a distance though. Regardless, attacking from a greater distance, bots or bugs, should help universally. I hope this helps my Spear Bros until the patch comes out. 😊

solo for the 500kg, just slow roll until you have a large following of bugs walk them into a crater timing the 500kg to go off in the bottom of the crater when it's full, the range of the diameter of the 500kg explosion increases with altitude. Which is why laying flat can allow you to live when close to the explosion. Bad bomb placement should net 25 kills, a decent bomb 40ish a well timed bomb 60+.

IMO the gameplay would be greatful improved if they just add more perks/passive skills for armors. I believe they are not complicated to implement and provide new builds for the game without needing to balance weapons.

They need to add weapon/armor slots and mods to be added to them. With their own perks/modifiers. Instead of making new guns each time for each thing. Just put weapon mods into pass instead of guns. Tweaking things like running speed, nade/medpack slots, max ammo carried, armor, damage reductions for particular damage types and for guns... things like rate of fire, magazine size, damage, penetration values, additional effects, accuracy, sway speed ect. and make these also have some sort of drawback like... increase in rate of fire reducing damage, increase of magazine size increasing sway, increase penetration values reducing damage, increasing damage reducing magazine size (higher caliber) or reducing penetration (hollow point bullets), rate of fire increase increasing recoil ect. This is what this game needs badly. give each weapon like 3 slots and 3 slots for armor 2 for helmet, move current boosts to helmet slot and retain it as partywide bonus. And then you suddenly can experiment with tons of builds doing a lot of stuff. Making primary/secondary much more interesting. Maybe even add some mods for support weapons in future. That way people would find useful builds using any weapon, experimenting a lot, would also give them something meaningful to fill passes with.

Laser cannon has been my go to support weapon since the patch that made it as it is. I use it against both bots and bugs with the guard dog rover and always come out with 400-700 kills. Also the MO number is Pi out to the 9th decimal

Tip for helldive (lvl 9) helms deep missions, take both mortars, as long as you place them properly (behind cover) then as long as you have a support weapon to take care of the heavies your golden

The 500k is a single target stratagem. Basically, you run up to a titan, do a little dance, throw it between the 2 you, let it spit, and then run away. It takes 2 to kill a titan.

Some guns are just stats bloaters lol. Flamethrower DOT damage means you're most likely to get ALL the killing blows. Breaker incendiary is the funniest because even if you hit with just one of the pellets in the spread, it counts as a hit for the accuracy so you can literlaly be spraying and praying with it and get like 95% accuracy

I do think the sample grind is abit much. It would be better to have more smaller upgrades for lower grind cost. But compared to H1 the upgrades are pretty lackluster as is.. where is my perk stratagem priority with -40% cooldown??

Re: Cranking up the diff on your daily for content: It's a lot easier to kill a hundred of something when they're throwing 3,000 of them at you! XD I think the other Helldivers are saying you're gonna pull a full squad, you can feel safe cranking it up. Re: Running new eqiupment/testing changed equipment - roll a solo at the lowest diff where it is relevant (2 for most primaries/3 if you need to face medium armor at least). Gives you time to breathe between engagements and get comfortable with it.

For those who are burning out on Helldivers 2, there are some ways I like to mix up my experience: Experiment with different builds on a low-level solo dive. Focus less on metas and more on just toying around with fun or thematic builds. Cycle between bots and bugs. I feel like this is a “no duh,” but apparently there’s a good number of people who only fight one faction. Switch difficulties. There are a few missions that are exclusive to certain difficulties, that might give you a breath of fresh air if you’ve launched one too many ICBM’s recently. And of course, play other games. Helldivers 2 is an addition to your gaming library, not a replacement.

That kill 200 with the 500kg bomb order was stupid. You guys said it and I also experienced it. You drop the bomb on 5 stationary targets and it kills maybe 2. I think I got 33 in one shot once when I was swarmed and I suicided. I kept trying complete the order on a kill 100% mission where you can get up on the rock pillars and let them swarm below you; call on the bomb l but it wasn’t giving me maps that had pillars.

500kg doesn't suck... but it sucks for a different reason. It kills bile titans. That is the only thing it's effective at, and taking down some objectives, sure. The thing that sucks is that it's basically useless on anything else. Making it a BORING pick just to be able to deal with bile titans. It's never fun fighting bugs because of bile titans. You basically HAVE to reserve 1-2 slots JUST to bomb bile titans. And people whine on robot mission when you have -1 stratagem... people don't think a lot do they Lvl 9 is NOT hard. It absolutely for no reason is hard, anywhere. Even defence missions are easy. But it does require time to get used to for damn sure. Some just don't bother to put SOME effort in to learn how to do it. They give up after one try "I can't do this, this is impossible" which is a shame. The "rescue" missions are the easiest ones. 3 people go away from the base and make all the noise, drawing ALL the attention. One player SNEAK around pushing the buttons. You literally complete it within 10 minutes.

23:59 they need to get rid of these missions for the bots. the constant bot drops overwhelming the team it's not fun, it's just a circle of death all the way around. simply because the bots are more complicated to kill since they have smaller weak points and higher armor rating... the bots are severely out of balance.

You guys are cool and yeah ppl should play games that are fun to them. Atm I'm splitting my time between helldivers 2, deep rock galactic and v rising. And semi casual is a nice and sane way to play games 😀 For the 500kg if you go prone you can actually stay pretty close to it, little bugs are close to the ground and that is why you don't use it for small bugs.

There's a method to making everyone complaining about the game happy it just takes more time and a bit more work. For example, when it comes to difficulty: People complaining about the bile titans taking more damage to kill seemingly every patch, we miss the times where we could rocket to the gob as spitting and it would one shot it. It makes sense and its fun and rewarding. But people were complaining that bile titans weren't a threat at top level because everybody knows how to one shot them now. The trick to making everybody happy in this situation takes more time and more work - make a new larger, tougher bug boss that takes more damage, and is more deadly in some way, and leaving bile titans alone. The method they take is to very quickly made text edits to their database files, minimal work, bandaid fixes to problems. The cause of the criticisms toward their dev team. They have hopefully stopped using this method and will start using the correct method to making everyone happy.

Bile Titans are one of the least threatening Terminids, they're just annoying to kill because the options to take them down are so limited and stifle loadout diversity.
