The Helldivers are frozen because they are the equivalent to bullets. The way the capsules move around is similar to a revolver and the way they are launched is exactly the same as an orbital artillery shell. They don't need to be kept fed and healthy, just alive long enough to be launched into the planet they're invading. They also are not launched in at the same time in larger squads because they're not actually important. Whats important is how much firepower the destroyer can bring onto the invaded plannet. The Helldiver is never as important as the stratagems being used, in a sense the diver is only a targeting system, a small cog meant to make the war machinery of Superearth deadlier.

It think the fact that Helldivers are “special forces” helps it make sense. We know the regular army is on many of the planets so if the front is struggling or you need to kick off a invasion, sending strike teams behind enemy lines to take out vital targets would be very helpful.

The Helldiver cyogenics purpose is 2. First off, you don't have to feed Helldivers. Second and most important, EVERY Helldiver you play is on their first mission (unless you survive the previous with no deaths), so every Helldiver hasn't experienced the cruelty of the meatgrinder they are thrown upon. Like, imagine if every Helldiver just hanged around the ship, and time and time again, they would see how after almost every mission, their friends would die again and again. Do you think they would still think that they are the greatest force or would they be willing to drop if everytime one of their friends droped they died? It serves to keep them fresh and motivated, unaware of the true hell they are going to dive into.

I think the plug in the back of the helldivers helmet is to transfer experience and lessons learned from previous helldivers who have perished. That’s why each helldiver gets better and better each time one is unfrozen instead of a green new recruit. Each helldiver is an individual that has volunteered but experience and lessons are shared.

If I had to guess it's to attach their heads to the hellpods to stabilize their heads for impact or keep them standing. The hellpods might absorb the shock but that doesn't mean they might not get jostled around.

g force isnt tied directly to gravity, its a measure of acceleration forces measured using earths gravity as a unit, even going up if moving at a fixed velocity without any angular acceleration from turning the only g force experienced is 1g of that planet

If you go back to the original Helldivers game, you might find that Malevelon Creek was in Illuminate control for several periods of time, the Galactic war map has shifted over time, whether that has to do with the position of planets and various physics, I am unsure.

The illuminate might be deployed in incredibly small numbers along side the automatons, hence why some divers see their lasers when fighting the automatons. They might be doing this to learn more about super earth and the helldivers tactics or even testing new technology in real combat situations. The reason they aren’t making their presence obvious might be because they are not strong not enough in the event that super earth decides to do something about it like launch and operation to capture new technology and remove their small forces from areas of operation and they are trying to preserve the few troops they do have. Many of the new technologies and weapons they are testing might be classified and they don’t want super earth to know something is happening. Some real cold war

You guys do what you want with the lore, to me the Helldivers are clone backup bodies and the plugs in the helmets are your conscienceness upload slots for when you are beamed up to the destroyer from the last body you wrecked. Which is another reason why fully sealed helmets and suits are the norm instead of stripping down more to save weight carried and increase comfort.

What if instead of clones it’s just when you enlist and pass training, you get into the cryopod, and you get sent to ‘your’ ship. One you share with hundreds of other frozen divers. When you die, at the end of operations, as time passes, your ship is restocked with munitions, life support supplies, fuel… and maybe new cryo pods of divers…? When you select the name of ‘your’ ship, you’re not naming a new ship. Perhaps you’re unknowingly choosing which ship to be sent to… and the name combo is to keep friends and family to be on the same ship, so the virtues of Super Earth are maintained.

i think helldivers DO have multiple clones of themselves in the ship and DO come back to life after dying, but the reason super earth needs its people to enlist is because they cant produce new brains for the clones, only make them a blank slate for the helldivers to possess after being KIA

22:00 another way to think about the helldivers being clones, which is something that told me they were closed rather than fresh helldivers each round. Is the fact that when we are replaced with a fresh diver they are wearing our exact loadout if it was a fresh hail diver you would think that instead of having the exact same load out as a person that just died they would have a chance to choose something fresh before going into their first battle so to speak. So to me that screams I'm a clone of myself and they do some type of brain chip to just keep me conscious legally so I can get the experience. If they really wanted to sell the fresh helldiver bit then they should give us the chance to change our loadout with each death then it would show us that it's a fresh diver every time we die.

About the Automaton patrols and their chanting, I frequently run past patrols and listen to them. One thing I often hear when they see me is "Human Scum" and "F*ck You" (yes I'm serious😅) They also chant something like "Death to ****, death to *****" while marching forwards. But I can't make up that last bit they say after "Death To...." I will try to spend some time sneaking up behind patrols to listen.

"eagle-1 flies naked" Now that's a hell of a way to increase the Helldiver ranks I gotta say in relation to the Automaton chatter, i an't wait for the day we can understand what they're saying. i've always been curious about the lines they have and reports of them pleading for Divers to kill them. Also to back up the brain snatching theory, it all makes sense: open air cages, pens where you can find deceased Super Earth personnel, said corpses being decapitated with really only disemboweled corpses showing up more around the Bioreprocessors that cropped up on Escalation of Freedom. without doubt the Automatons are repurposing humans like we're repurposing Terminids and for that they need to be paid a visit by our beloved naked angel

There are apps you can use to track the war and major orders in helldivers 2 and awhile ago I look at the total enemies killed on the app and saw that it said illuminate killed 34 then it got removed a few days later

A few hours ago, on one of my solo missions, I saw a ship flying directly above me at a very high speed, only 50-100 meters above the ground, it had a dark color, but I didn’t have enough time to get a better look, when I turned around it was no longer visible... Has anyone else seen something similar? Edit: it was definitely not an otomaton ship, It flew much faster, it had no red colour and I was playing on the 1st level of difficulty

The breathable liquid is a well-researched topic. Never fully implemented because the person submerged had problems clearing the liquid out of his lungs. Infections and severe discomfort were the result. Should it work, it would be amazing and change aviation and spaceflight forever. Iirc deep sea diving would be relatively trivial if one wore a suit with this liquid in it.

I was like, "Why are they in suits instead of being themselves, like the hulks?" or when I killed bots I realized at the end of every mission the blood on me was their blood, but recently I realized there was oil on me, but it was green too, but nonetheless, I saw blood on me after shootong automatons.
