In a recent tweet, it said, "We’re still learning what is best for PC players, and your feedback has been invaluable. Thanks again for your continued support of Helldivers 2, and we’ll keep you updated on future plans." So, crisis averted for now, but the damage may already be done.

Don't really understand the reaction outside of specific countries that don't have PSN. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but it seems barely an inconvenience. We already do it for many other games. The real problem is having server issues (not the case) not having to link to another account. We do it even for single-player games like ubisoft, wb games, Blizzard, etc. Anyway, I'm glad PC players were able to get this sorted out. Let's hope the trend continues with other linking account requirements

The situation made them change their mind and everyone is still mad. As if people would have actually stopped buying PS5's and games, like come on, people would have got bored of this outrage after a week. Just be thankful and large corporation changed their mind. I find it hilarious how everybody is scramaing about this and yet Sea of Thieves on PlayStation requires a Microsoft account (which IMO, players are even less likely to have one if they own a PS5, unlike Steam players) being more integrated into the PSN ecosystem. MS Accounts are officially supported in 42 countries and there is no support for a lot of countries, its the exact same situation. But sure, lets just ignore that.

Everyone keeps looking at this Sony decision as a consumer instead of as a business. Sony makes decisions as a business. They incur a 30% loss sell selling on pc. I think their wider vision was to gage consumer responses to having to sign up to psn, to potentially give sony an easier avenue to making a pc launcher that they don't have to lose money selling on. Expand the psn userbase to link their catalogue with psn and therefore secure future launches on pc. I think them moving to pc in general has been a terrible idea, they're going to keep liquidating their brand and cause issues for not just the console audience but also pc now. They're really going to struggle give consumers a reason to buy a ps6

I have done it with EA, Ubisoft, Activision Blizzard, and others for over 10 years. I'm 40 and am a single, VIRGIN Christian man, 6"2, bald but ok looking still, well travelled, level headed, sociable. Despite all this, it's been more than 8 years since I was properly with someone and that only lasted a few months. Time before that I was the victim of gaslighting and quite an abusive relationship going back 12 years now. For several years now I've gone on dates and it goes nowhere because I'm generally not meeting women I find physically attractive because the ones I see on these apps aren't into me. I sometimes match with them but then no response. I guess as an attractive woman, they will always have so much more choice and get snapped up quick. I am still a virgin technically speaking, despite having had multiple opportunities over the years with the few relationships I've had and then one off flings and "one night stands" which I really regret even going that far because it was wrong. But never had full intercourse. I wanted to save myself for marriage and do what's right before God but I guess the wife and the marriage never happened. I hope it's not too late but it's certainly getting to a point where I'm worried whether anything will change. I understand that confidence and being content on your own is key, however I can't seem to shake off the feeling of failure and being unable to find and attract a woman that I want. Being on my own for so long, I can't see how it can be beneficial for anyone to be this way for this long and not have companionship. I don't mind being on my own, as I said I've travelled a ton, I've been to almost 70 countries now and the vast majority of that on my own.
