It did, before the raids of the Automatons it was once a Liberated planet, was actually liberated 2 or 3 times during the defense, the creek is now too far into enemy territory for it to be a major impact

If you look at the top left of the helldivers 2 galaxy map, Cyberstan is present and it's only a few sectors away from the current automaton offensive. I think it would be neat if some of the cyborg units made a comeback in the event that the automatons manage to retake Cyberstan and free their cyborg creators

It's so good , I always thought that kind of gameplay was super fun and that it was kind of an injustice that Helldivers was so invisible, now it's finally getting the recognition, maybe way too much, it's a really new game and there are a lot of people demanding stupid things, the games is really good the way it is, oh and I know it can be tuned and polished but that's not why I seeing

Yeah, Helldivers 1 was already great as it is. It's just that it's a more indie-leaning game with little to no marketing, so just like other less popular games that are also great, it created a niche community that loved Helldivers after all these years. No one expected Helldivers 2 to become so popular now, most of us thought it would just be the same community again playing the game and then some more new players. We just miscalculated on how much "new players" there will be.

Honesty in the second game there's a few various weapons that are good for differing things. It's more team based and how well rounded your squad is.

It was less about the shotgun and more about the laser IMO and the trident was by far the best lazer weapon. Ammo wasnt a garantee on the map and the ammo drop was a stratagem, so running trident allowed you to run more destructive stratagems. Breaker shotgun was still good tho and trident was very effective as well anyways.

If you can manage the boss's anti-strategem turrent spawn, you can easily melt it's hp with the land mines strategem. If you are going multiplayer, you can spam the strategem in one area for maximum density for the boss to walk on, or have one go with 4 land mines strategems while the rest can manage the anti-strategem turrents. This strategy also works for the illuminate boss fight (you can find many videos of players soloing the boss with land mines) but not the bugs. The land mines would work on the bugs boss but considering it usually stays underground, you're better off calling other strategems to do the job. Additionally, if I really correctly, the upgraded land mines makes it a lot denser. TL;DR: Literally what player 2 does. Edit: Also I just realized Helldivers 1 is getting traffic now that 2 is out, so to the new players of the old game, acquire and level up the UAV drone to max first. It shows samples on the map at max level, and you can get about 5ish samples if you simply go on any easy stage. Just bring the bike and you can easily max out your strategems for the fastest results.

I had Hd1 late 2018 as well, since I only bought PS4 to play Monster hunter but my friend gave his HD to me and told me to play with 3 other people and I spent a good 800hrs of playing HD1. Enjoyed every god damn second. Sucks that I dont have a ps5 or a pc that can run hd2. but later this year I guess.

The original game didn't even have bosses for each faction, they came with a free update as 1 of 4 new difficulties released past Helldive. I'm hoping we eventually get these bosses alongside harder difficulties in HD2 cuz Helldive is already way easier than it was on HD1

I have to be honest. This looks comically easy compared to a helldive difficulty mission in HD2. At most I only see like 5 ish enemies on the screen. Maybe I'm underestimating the difficulty though.

Im 100% sure the masters are gonna be added into the sequel after they add a bunch of other weapons, enemies, and factions. I really want to see the Terminids giant ass worm boss in helldivers 2. Imagine how it could be in the sequel, using vehicles to chase it down across the map, then using stratagems to peel off its thick armor, with everyone focus firing on the exposed flesh, and hundreds of bugs are just pouring out of the massive holes it creates by burrowing throughout the planet. What could be more epic then that!?

I thought I would feel your way, but I like them both similarly. The 3rd person is more fun in general, but I do miss some of the more direction centric stratagems and the fact you were all stuck on 1 screen. It could become hell really fast when the team got split up by illuminate walls, or magma eruptions. Made the jump pack so important.
