I miss the old weapon indicators for your squadmates. It was so handy for determining when someone needed covering while they reloaded. HD2’s resource indicators for your teammates also feels like it’s still bugged, it would flash red when they haven’t expended a single bullet yet.

Never knew about the series until HD2 and ive been so hooked that i bought HD1 over the steam winter sale. I only play solo because i dont want to drag the HD1 vets down. I absolutely love these games and wish i had heard of the first one when it came out cus i wouldve bought it in a heartbeat. Never saw any ads or heard anything about it on any platform i used. Maybe after i lvl up a bit on HD1 ill try to join my brothers in sisters instead of just running solo. Especially since ive maxed out and unlocked everything available on HD2.

@@otakufreak2617 I started this game last year. It can be daunting but it just comes down to practicing and some grind. Start on diffs 5-8 then slowly move up.

i also think there not gonna close the server for a very long time. since they dont need to update the game. and it would suck real hard if they closed them. the playerbase hasnt changed. it has and will always have a consitant playerbase. 10years old but so ahead of its time!!

Gotta love the good ol' days when enemies weren't bullet sponges, overpenetration was a thing, laser weapons chilled in seconds, and melee actually counted for something.

@@NotoriousKarmaI tend to use the stun lance with the viper commando armour, it can easily 1 shot the voteless and does heaps of damage to the illuminate. It can also take the shield off the illuminate ships in bases quite easily.

There is a lore reason for bug's become more fatty. Super Earth mutate them so there blood give more E-710 (basicaly oil)

I reached 150 lv in HD2 several months ago and tried this last few days and I gotta say, it's really tough. Sharing same screen, top view, no cooldown for patrol calling their forces, and most of all, rare to find people joining my game session due to lower difficulty... Cannot imagine I survive in that difficulty 😅 but good video! Might try those loadouts later.

bugs were never eradicated. infact, the cyborgs werent eradicated either, only the illuminate were "eradicated". Bugs we domesticated cause we like farming them for oil. Cyborgs we kept around as slave labor.

How is the war going so far in the first galactic war?

@Gildedshadowassasin So far it feels like a stalemate. We failed like three times to capture Kepler Prime so the bugs are still kicking around in the galactic war. A few days ago we reached cyberstan but didn't have enough time to capture the planet. They pushed us back. Things may change in a few days so I'll let you know. To eliminate a faction, you simply push though each sector and capture their homeplanet. Once all three factions capitulate or super earth has fallen, the war ends.

@@kevinsun9461 It's a perk called displacement field. Whenever you're about to take lethal damage. It teleports you away and prevents your death. It has a cooldown before it can activate again.
