Hellfire is a 1989 horizontally scrolling shooter arcade video game originally developed by Toaplan and published in Japan by Taito and North America by U.S.A. Games. The first horizontal shoot 'em up title to be created by Toaplan, the game takes place in the year 2998 where a space matter known as Black Nebula created by robot dictator Super Mech spreads and threatens to engulf human-controlled galaxies, as players assume the role of Space Federation member Captain Lancer taking control of the CNCS1 space fighter craft in a surprise attack to overthrow the enemies with the fighter craft's titular weapon.

I played this game many years ago using the game genie cheat code. Completed the game like nearly 10 times, but it never ends. I remember the girl's face at the end blew up in smoke after the amount of time i completed it.

Let alone humans finding cure for diseases or sending rovers to the mars, I can't even beat this game on easy level. Luckily today I can enjoy the game and finish it on hard mode using invicibility cheat in emulator 😂.

I noticed you hardly ever use diagonal mode, even in situations where it would be really useful like the streams of enemies coming from around corners from multiple directions in stage 3. Why is that?

Do you have a Sega Genesis? From what I remember, the hardware was slower in the Genesis Vs the Mega Drive, so they had to slow the music down due to processing concerns

In shooter games like this, the bit of the ship that actually counts is typically very small, usually just the cockpit or a tiny square in the center.

Lol. I wasn't hit. If I got hit I would have died in the game (the game is 1 Hit Kill). What could have happened is that the ship's Hitbox does not cover 100% of the ship. It may have been for this reason that he gave an impression that he was hit.
